Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5013]; present in this room.
3. As we find, there are disturbances that at times cause reactions which become disturbing to the body. These arise primarily from the lack of activity in the glandular system; especially the inner activity of the thyroid gland. This disturbance in the gland arose from the lack of a supply of energies that should coordinate between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve and blood supply.
4. Through this separation there has gradually grown the lack of the gland to supply those energies in the system that will replenish or create those activities related to the growth of hair and also certain elements in the cuticle.
5. These, then, are the sources and causes of the main disorder.
6. There is also a tendency that must be regulated, else there will come later from this same connection that having to do with the spleen and its supply to the energies from the glandular system. There must be prevented the excess of the leukocytes and lymph in the white blood supply as related to the activity of the red blood cellular forces. For we find there is a variation in the numbers of the red blood and white blood supply in the body.
7. It will be found that when there is sufficient red blood there is a better supply of energies to the cuticle and to the scalp.
8. We would begin first by taking internally one drop of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before breakfast for five days in succession. Then leave off five

days. Then take again for five days.
9. After the third series, taken the same way, begin with the osteopathic adjustments especially as related to the areas from the second cervical, 3rd, 4th and 5th cervical, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th dorsal specifically.
10. We would also stimulate the activity of the glands through this particular area with the use of the sinusoidal electrical forces. These will make a reaction from the 2nd and 3rd cervical to the areas of the spleen activities. These we would give not too heavy, not too often, but when the corrections osteopathically are made we would supply with the corrections the sinusoidal over the area. For these treatments we would have one such as Ober. Stimulate the activity as related to the spleen as it controls the destruction or supplying of energies to red blood cellular forces.
11. In the matter of the diet, add more often plenty of seafoods, also raw vegetables; as cabbage, celery, lettuce, carrots. Prepare these often with gelatin. Not that this should be the entire diet but these should be used often in the diet, two, three, four times each week; or preferably use some of these in the diet each day, though not necessarily all of them each day (the raw vegetables). Include watercress. These activities will also aid in supplying the salts with the properties taken to act upon the energies of the glandular system, purifying them.
12. About once a week we would stimulate the scalp and the portions of the body where there is the desire for the activity of the glandular forces in the cuticle, with pure hog lard. This may be applied of evening and covered with gauze or a cap or the like. It will be better to let it remain overnight. Then bathe off with tar soap - this would be a stimulation to the scalp itself.
13. Ready for questions.
