1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5104].
3. As we find, there are disturbances which prevent the better coordination. These, as we find, arise from a glandular disorder. The internal activity of the thyroid glands causes an activity which produces an irritation which increases not only the changing of foods to fats, but also acts upon the epidermis or the superficial circulation, causing a great deal of trouble to the hair on body and the nails of hands and toes.
4. As we find, these upset the equilibrium of the whole assimilating and eliminating system.
5. As we would find, the application of hydrotherapy of a nature will be most beneficial to the conditions of this body. These we would take rather in series. Take first about fifteen treatments, about twice each week. There should come first a fume sweat, using witchhazel in the Fume Bath. This should cause first a fume sweat, and not too much of the dry heat, but more of the wet heat owing to those conditions of the heart, owing to the smothery spells which are experienced. Then this should be followed with a good, thorough, gentle but deep massage, rolling the flesh on limbs and torso.
6. These should be followed about once a week with the short-wave as related to that area along the brachial center, not too long with this.
7. Then, when the fifteen Baths have been taken, rest about two weeks and then take these again.
8. There should also be begun the grape juice. This is to be taken regularly four times each day, thirty minutes

before each meal and before retiring, take three ounces of pure grape juice (such as Welch's) and one ounce of plain water (not carbonated water).
9. Then cut down on the amount of starches; that is, no white bread, potatoes, macaroni, cheeses or the like. Leave these off. Sea foods may be taken in moderation but not shell fish, nothing which is in the shell but sea foods. Fowl, and lamb also, but not other meats. A great deal of raw vegetables, especially watercress. This should be in one meal every day. Carrots, raw, celery, lettuce, chard, mustard greens, onions and the like may be included. Prepare oft with gelatin.
10. Do these things, and for the conditions of toes and nails, use baking soda moistened with Castor Oil. Put this under the points or edges where ingrown toenails give disturbance. This may make it sore for one time, but rub off with Spirits of Camphor. These may make for roughening but it will rid the body of those tendencies of ingrown toenails. Do that.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) What can be done for bleeding gums? (A) All of this we have suggested will have much to do with bettering the general condition. Use equal portions of salt and soda as a massage, and at least twice each week massage thoroughly with Ipsab.
13. (Q) What is causing sinus and runny nose? (A) The poor circulation which will be materially aided by that suggested, and the pressures through the areas indicated internally being disturbed there is the causing of the activities indicated.
14. (Q) Should I have some kind of brace or correction to aid the falling arch on right foot? (A) There should be used braces or that support inside the shoe, see? - both of them.
15. (Q) Why is it that I cannot concentrate? (A) These are parts of the general disturbance through the thyroids. Do as indicated and we will make for bettered conditions.
