Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5107].
3. As we find, there are disturbances that are gradually preventing the better physical functioning of the body. These, as we find, may be corrected in the present and bring about nearer to normal physical conditions. While it will require patience and persistence, if there will be the applications as may be indicated, and the following through with the changes that may be wrought by the effect of the applications indicated, we will find better conditions and reactions of near normal activity.
4. As we find, first in the blood supply, through the pressures that exist in the lumbar and sacral and coccyx areas, there are effects of taking from same certain elements in the distribution of used energies that are causing the disturbance in the epidermis or the skin. This has affected the extremities, both hands and feet, to the extent that these become lacking in control of the voluntary activity of nerves and muscular forces. These, as we find, are of skin and not multiple sclerosis, as some have indicated. These reactions are caused from pressures and these removed, and those conditions supplied to the body through the energies of low life-giving forces of electrical activity, will renew the energies of the body.
5. First, we would begin with having the corrections osteopathically of those pressures that exist in the coccyx, or the end of that area between the coccyx segments and the segments in the sacral and lumbar, and also corrections in that area in the body which, through the pressures, causes also the irregularity of the menstrual periods and also
5107-1 Page 2
causes disturbances that make repressions in the sympathetic nerve forces, so that the body becomes easily overtaxed physically as well as in the emotional body.
6. In the corrections, to be sure the 9th dorsal and the upper dorsal and the cervical areas are to be coordinated in their activity.
7. Have at least six of the adjustments and then begin with the use of the low Wet Cell Appliance that will carry into the system Spirits of Camphor, commercial strength, and Chloride of Gold, this to be one grain to one ounce of distilled water. Use the regular strength of the Wet Cell Appliance.
8. In making the connections the smaller copper plate carrying the Chloride of Gold is to be attached to the 9th dorsal segment. The larger plate through which the solution passes is to be attached to the umbilical or lacteal duct centers. This, on this body, would be marked four fingers (or the width of the hand, see?) to the right from the navel center, and three fingers up. These vibrations should be kept on each day one hour. Use one solution one day and the other the next day, attached as indicated. Attach the smaller plate carrying the Camphor to the lower portion of the 4th lumbar, and the large plate to the umbilical plexus the same as the day before.
9. Following each of these treatments for an hour, have a thorough massage with equal portions of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil. To each two ounces of Olive Oil and two ounces of Peanut Oil, add 1/4 ounce of melted lanolin. This massage should begin with the toes, and massage all the body will absorb in toes, bursae of feet, ankles, especially on the knees and groins and hips; across the sacral and lower lumbar areas and the whole of the cerebrospinal and to the 9th dorsal. Then begin with the fingers, hands, wrist, elbows, shoulders and then at the base of the brain and down either side of the cerebrospinal system.
10. In the matter of exercise, keep in the open when at all practical, though not when it is wet or in evenings, or when it is too hot, but in the shade or semi-sunshine. Do not attempt to walk too much, but every day do this exercise: Lying upon back with the feet in the air, exercise ankles, feet, knees and limbs by stretching out; then raise, stretch; then raise and down, up and down, etc. This should be done at least once every day for the body.
11. The diet: Do add to the body the activities of the Jerusalem artichoke. This should be taken at least once each week.
5107-1 Page 3
Cook an artichoke about the size of a hen egg in Patapar Paper. Save the juices and mix with the pulp when prepared to eat. Season to suit the taste. Do save the juices when cooking the artichoke. Do have plenty of raw vegetables such as carrots, leeks, onions, lettuce, celery, chard, radishes. All of these should be in the diet. Do add watercress with these also. Prepare these vegetables occasionally with gelatin. Do this and in six months, we would give further instructions for this body.
12. Be consistent, be persistent and we will correct those conditions in the extremities, those as related to the periods and the various conditions through the body.
13. Keep company that is cheerful. Do pray often and live like you pray. Be kind, be gentle, be patient, do not be faultfinding with others because you have to wait for this or that, but do know that ye have much to do, much to be accomplished in this experience.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) Should osteopathic treatments be continued after the Wet Cell Appliance is begun? (A) Osteopathic treatments should be taken in a series. Take the first series of six, then begin with the Wet Cell Appliance, carrying the solutions and applied to the body as has been indicated. After this do without the adjustments for two weeks, then begin again and have another series of six adjustments. Rest again for two weeks, and have the 3rd series and then take, this time, about twelve to fourteen of such adjustments (twice each week). After the daily use of the Appliance (one day the Gold Solution, the next day the Camphor), do have the massages. Keep the plates that are attached to the body very clean. Attach to the body with adhesive.
16. (Q) Will I ever be able to have a healthy, normal baby? (A) This depends upon the response the body makes to the administrations that are to be given.
17. (Q) Should I smoke cigarettes or are they harmful? (A) If these are taken in moderation it is not harmful, but don't smoke over six a day.
18. (Q) What can be done for the slight deafness of the right ear? (A) We have given this consideration in the administrations that are to be made, both through the vibrations to change, to alter the suppressions and through the manipulations that will make corrections and relieve the tension.
19. (Q) Have I completely recovered from the operation? (A) Not as yet.
20. (Q) What is the cause of the sharp pain in my right side?
5107-1 Page 4
(A) The pressures from the subluxations in the sacral and lumbar areas and in the coccyx portion of the spine.
21. (Q) What could be done to enable me to sleep better? (A) Do these things we have indicated and do not worry.
22. We are through with this reading. Two copies to Self (one for the osteopath - Please let us have the name and address of the one you choose.) Copy to Ass'n file " for indexing (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] to be sent to Mr. A. M. Godfrey, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va., for preparing the Wet Cell Appliance to be used in this individual case. Also article explaining theory of this Appliance. If unable to obtain Jerusalem artichoke on the market, it may be ordered for a few cents a pound from The John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wis. Patapar Paper is made by Paterson Parchment Paper Co., Bristol, Conn., and sells for 25 cents a dozen sheets.
