Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. Eastern War Time. ..., Colorado.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, ... Street, ..., Colorado, we can get a view of the dome from here.

3. Yes. Now as we find, while conditions are rather serious, these as should not necessarily cause too great an anxiety, unless there is lack of consideration of that as may be indicated.

4. In the first, we would change from this climate to that as may be had in the open, near Asheville, North Carolina, where the pines and balsam are. This will be preferable to the present environ.

5. After at least a period of three or four days, when the change would be made, not necessary that the body remain in bed, but remain in the open most of the time. Not in the sun nor too much in the shades of the evening, that is, in night air, but in the shade and the sun.

6. Do not take too much exercise but as there is the activity, the mind and the body are to be coordinated.

7. Those conditions of bronchi and trachea as well as the lungs indicate, from the amount of sputum as well as the temperature occasionally, as well as the activities in the organs of elimination (as kidneys) irregularly as to eliminations from the activity of the alimentary canal, owing to congestion in liver. All these are straining on the system, and the involvement of the liver and kidneys in the conditions indicates the lack of the eliminations necessary for these organs to be able to prevent inroads in the activity of the functioning of the organs themselves.

8. These as we find are from a lack of certain elements in

5139-1 Page 2

the body-energies.

9. We would leave off those things that have been indicated and we would begin with these as changes are made:

10. We would have prepared the brandy keg, at least a two-gallon charred keg, and in this put one gallon of Apple Brandy. Prepare so that the body can inhale the fumes or gases that form in evaporation of the brandy, not taking the brandy itself, but inhale into the bronchi and lungs the fumes from the brandy.

11. For the conditions in bronchi and trachea, we would take 1 grain [Calcidin] tablets, or we may take 3 grain tablets, to prevent the coughing so much. Dissolve two of these in two or three tablespoons of distilled water, preferably, and two or three times a day take a teaspoon full of this solution. Let it sort of trickle down the throat, not just swallow and get rid of it.

12. We would inhale the fumes from the brandy, and keep it where it will be a little warm and will increase the amount of evaporation that goes on. Do this two or three times a day. [We would also obtain Calcios.]

13. This we would take a little each day, about half the quantity that would cover a whole wheat water, spread on as butter.

14. We would also obtain Acigest. This take three times each week at the evening meal. This should be one teaspoon in a glass of whole milk.

15. Do take plenty of chicken and milk and eggs, but only take the yolk of the egg. This may be prepared once a day, or once every other day, with spiritus frumenti and milk with the egg. Use just sufficient amount of spirits frumenti to cook the egg as it is poured in it, very small quantity until it cooks the egg, then add the milk with a little sugar, but not too much. Use honey and the honey comb as sweets, and all of those raw vegetables that the body can well eat, including watercress, celery, lettuce, carrots, leeks, radishes, onions, chard and mustard and the like, not necessarily all of them at once, but some one of them every day. These may be used with oil or salad dressing.

16. The beef juice is very well, in the present not prepared too well, but only use the very lean, and cook this with no water for at least three hours, press the juice out and season to taste. Do not take more than one teaspoonfull at a time, for too much of this will upset the digestive system, until there has been a change in the flow of the lacteal duct and the activities far digestion, by the supplying of the hydrochloric acid (in the Acigest) in the

duodenum and lower portions of the stomach itself.

17. Do have occasionally, once a week, a thorough osteopathic relaxing treatment.

18. Thus we will get rid of these disturbances. That there has been some adherence in the pleura is indicated, but this will be changed with the inhalations and with the massage, and should be eliminated very soon and cause less irritation in the trachea and bronchi and less profuse spittle raised by the coughing.

19. Keep quiet but do keep in the open.

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) Does any malignancy exist? (A) Not as we find as yet.

22. (Q) What is the condition of the rectum? (A) This as we find is from strains which have existed, and is not so well, but with the changes by the massages and the diet, this condition should be aided.

23. (Q) What is the skin condition on the hands? (A) Poor eliminations. These will disappear as the changes are wrought in better circulation establishing their eliminations.

24. (Q) Does the drinking of alcoholic beverages affect this patient? (A) It affects the body. While we are suggesting giving some small quantity, taken in the manner as indicated would be beneficial, not harmful.

25. (Q) Is there any special work or occupation that would be helpful? (A) Not at the present, but a little bit later on anything that would have to do with weaving, either baskets or cloth, would be well.

26. (Q) Is the mental outlook constructive and healthy? (A) A little bit, but it is almost where it doesn't care. Do create better activities for creative things, and there would be very much improvement for the body.
