Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., N.Y.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5148], present in this room.
3. As we find, there are disturbances respecting which precautions should be taken. While there are in abeyance in the present, it is very easy to upset the balance. There is incoordination between the cerebrospinal nervous system and the sympathetic, especially as related to the emotional nature in the body-forces.
4. These physically or pathologically are in the areas of the 9th dorsal and the brachial center. The results or effects as we find which are produced, as has been indicated in some time back, have been removed. But the causes have not, which produced such a slowing of the blood supply through the lower extremities as to cause large or varicose veins. These are from this incoordination.
5. This has not been changed and, unless there are those corrections, we may have recurrent disorders or results as of disturbances arising through the same nature. As we find, with this disorder, the heart, the lungs, the liver, the kidneys all become involved in a greater or lesser degree.
6. Hence we have periods when there is shortness of breath, as when climbing steps; or undue excitement would cause the same result.
7. At other times we will have periods when there are those upsettings of the digestion, or headaches as the result of disordered digestion.

8. At other times we will have disturbance when the kidneys and bladder are overactive, or less than their normal eliminations.
9. These, we find, produce poisons in the system; that is, these taxations that are not eliminated through the proper channels.
10. We will find periods when the hands or the feet may become cold or clammy, others when there will be over-perspiration. These are the effects of this disorder or disturbance. These make for what is the greater trouble, an irregularity in the heart's activity; not at all times.
11. Not that there are other than functional disorders with any of these organs of the central nervous system, but these need to be corrected so that there are better coordinations, and we will bring nearer normal conditions for the body.
12. These, as we find, may be brought about in this manner: Corrections osteopathically administered with special reference to the areas as has been indicated, 9th dorsal, and throughout the brachial areas, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th dorsals, coordinating the 3rd cervical and the cervical axis with the corrections made. Have such a one correct these as Coulter.
13. Take internally Mullein Tea not more than three times a week, but make it fresh each time it is taken. Prepare a tea made - from Mullein. For uniformity, preferably use the dry Mullein, a pinch between thumb and forefinger. Put into a teacup and pour boiling water on same. Let this stand for thirty minutes, strain, cool and drink. This is a reaction to the liver, the lungs, the heart and the kidneys, as to produce coordinating activity in circulation. It works with each of these and also makes a better condition through the alimentary canal.
14. These do and, as we find, we will bring better conditions for this body.
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) Please suggest line of conduct to pursue in regard to overcoming hay fever. (A) In the correcting of the conditions in the coordination of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems we will make the corrections necessary to correct the circulation through the lymph flow to the soft tissue of head and throat. Thus the balance brought in the circulation and the eliminations through their channels should, for this body, eliminate the disorders. We would have an inhalant prepared. For, as is indicated, there is incoordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems. Thus also those disorders between

the activity of the nerves to the sensory system, all of these, have most of their first reaction to the nervous system and blood supply in the brachial area. When there are the suggestions that there is an allergy to many of the pollens that cause irritation, as ragweed, or goldenrod, or dust, these produce definite effects. Then we would prepare an inhalant to use at such times. For this body it would be prepared in this manner: In a large mouth six ounce bottle, prepared with two vents in the cork so that they may themselves be corked, put four ounces of grain alcohol. Then add, in the order named, these ingredients: Oil of Eucalyptus..................20 drops, Rectified Oil of Turpentine.........5 drops, Rectified Creosote..................3 drops, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.......30 drops, Tolu in Solution...................30 drops. When there is an irritation to the nostril, then shake the solution together and inhale long and deep. These fumes will act as an antiseptic and as an allayer of irritation. But the corrections made mechanically (osteopathically) will be that to change the pathological effect in body.
17. (Q) Any particular diet recommended? (A) Keep away from sweets and from too much starches. It's combinations, rather than the diet. No chocolate, no drinks which have carbonated water in same. Do these and we will make better conditions.
18. (Q) What will help the eyesight? (A) These we have been administering, but if gelatin will be taken with raw foods rather often (that is, prepare raw vegetables such as carrots often with same, but do not lose the juice from the carrots; grate them, eat them raw), we will help the vision.
19. (Q) What treatment is advised for chronic constipation? (A) The conditions that we have given are the better for the chronic constipation.
20. (Q) Am I being too active considering my recent operation for varicose veins? (A) Not too active if measures are taken to eliminate the sources and not just the effects.
