Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 and 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Conn.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body, answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, as we find the disturbances here are the results of, or the effects of lack of the abilities of the glandular forces to supply elements to replenish muscular force in the locomotories especially, and this has been and is a progressive atrophy.
3. As we find, there may be material aid. We would begin with the consideration of the mental attitude of the body. These, to be sure, have much to do with the conditions and of the manner in which healing or progressing of inability of activities would come. But know you're meeting only yourself, and as ye put more and more trust in Him (for who healeth all thy diseases?), the way may be shown thee. Then in Him look to the sources for health. We would begin with these:
4. First, we would have the Wet Cell Appliance with the Tincture of Iodine charged in same; then, carrying Chloride of Gold Sodium to the body also, in the proportions of one grain to one ounce of distilled water, using three ounces.
5. Prepare two pounds of the Copper Sulphate in the gallon and a half of distilled water; the other ingredients in proportion, but no charcoal. Suspend the bottle of the iodine in the solution, three ounces, and this charge for three minutes on the slow battery charge.
6. The small plate would be attached at the lumbar axis. The larger plate, through which the solution passes, would be attached at the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, which on this particular body would be the width of three fingers directly from the right of the navel center and two fingers up.

7. Use this for thirty minutes each day.
8. Do have a good massage following same. This we would commence at the 9th dorsal and work to the end of the toes, the opposite from most, yes, but we are carrying to the extremities, into the circulation, that which goes to the muscular forces from the recharging of the vital energies, through the nerves which supply activity to the muscular forces and the tendons, and we will gain strength.
9. In the diet do add often more raw vegetables as lettuce, celery, carrots, tomatoes and the like but prepare these oft with gelatine.
10. Then keep a constructive attitude. Keep musical in self.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Should the osteopathic treatments I have been taking be continued? (A) Not necessarily in the beginning, but the massage (not necessarily osteopathic) would be given daily. After these properties of the Wet Cell Appliance have been taken for thirty days, about once a week a good osteopathic treatment would be very well; this as supplementary to the massage, you see. The massage should be given with equal portions of Olive and Peanut Oil.
13. (Q) Should injections of prostigmine be continued? (A) Leave off injections. This is not doing much good.
14. (Q) What manner of exercise would be helpful? (A) That which the body feels impelled in self to do, but don't let the condition get you! You get the condition!
15. (Q) Does practicing or playing the harp contribute to my disability? (A) Will add to the betterment of the body.
16. (Q) Would it be detrimental to my physical progress to move to New York for professional reasons? (A) Would not be detrimental.
17. (Q) Can I regain normal use of my legs? (A) If the body will follow these through, almost normal use of the limbs.
