Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Delaware.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. As we find, there are real disturbances here. While there has not been made the proper applications for curative forces, there has been a retarding of the conditions which may gradually develop unless measures, as we find, in these lines are taken.
3. For these conditions exist in the glandular system and are the lack of abilities of the body, of the glands, to reproduce themselves as in relation to energies in the muscular forces especially of the limbs, the tendons, as in the bursae of the heel, bursae of the joints, as under the knees, the bursae in the hips and shoulder centers.
4. All of these, then, are gradually getting worse. From time to time there may be a little improvement, or there has been, and then these prevent general activity of the body, upsetting the digestive system; causing the inability of the body to assimilate, [and] troublesome menstrual periods. These become the more aggravating as to the activities through the digestion.
5. All of these are the effects of this glandular disorder, rather than specific disorders in those portions of the system involved in the disturbance. There are, of course, through the alimentary canal, because of the lack of assimilation, the accumulation in portions of the colon which at times give a great deal of trouble.
6. There are the conditions in the organs of the pelvis which give a great deal of distress, especially in the periods.
7. In going about to make corrections which would be helpful
5269-1 Page 2
for this body, these should be administered by those making the corrections oateopathically, and these osteopathic treatments should be more massages than definite corrections being made, especially during the first two or three months of the application of treatment for the body.
8. But we would begin with this: First we would have prepared the low Wet Cell Appliance. This should be prepared with Iodine charged in the Appliance itself. Use two pounds of Copper Sulphate to the one and one-half gallons of distilled water and three ounces of the Tincture of Iodine suspended in the solution. Do not use charcoal. Use the acids and the zinc in proportions for the two pound charge. This should be charged on the low, or about three amperes for thirty minutes on a charging Appliance, see? Then use the same poles and plates which are applied to carry Gold and Iodine vibratorially into the body, see?
9. The larger plate would be attached for this body to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, which would be the width of four fingers from the navel center directly to the right and two fingers up from that point. The smaller plate attach to the lower portion, or between the 9th and 10th dorsal segment.
10. Use this each day for thirty minutes. Let this be followed by a gentle massage over the whole of the body.
11. Use an equal portion of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil as the massage. Begin at the upper or first cervical, along either side of the spine, in a rotary motion away from the head to the 9th dorsal. Then begin at the feet, the toes, the bursae of the heels and central portion of the toes. Then the ankles and the knee, along the sciatic center to the bursae on either side at the hip bone; along the spine, away from the head, see? Do this each day.
12. Then, about once a week, have the osteopathic relaxing treatments.
13. In the diets: Keep away from heavy foods. Use those which are body building, as beef juice, beef broth, liver, fish, lamb, all may be taken but never fried foods. Include butter and milk. Also raw vegetables, and these prepared oft with gelatin. Only the yolk of eggs. Leafy vegetables, raw cabbage and cooked red cabbage, spinach, string beans but not dry beans, not white potatoes and a few of yellow potatoes or yams. Artichokes when in season, only prepared in Patapar Paper, the juices of same mixed with the pulp of same; these at least once or twice each week. These will soon be ready for gathering, or by the 15th of August begin with these.
14. The rest begin at once and we will gain strength for
5269-1 Page 3
this body and will do away with these disturbances.
15. Do massage across the diaphragm and the colon also. It is well to cleanse the colon very thoroughly about once in six weeks. Not as to be a drain or to make for heaviness but using soda and salt and then, as an antiseptic, use Glyco-Thymoline.
16. Do that. We will make better conditions for this body.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) What can be done to eliminate attacks of paroxysmal tachycardia and high pulse? (A) The conditions with the heart of the quickening of pulse will, with the activities indicated, bring about real coordination with the organs of the sensory and the cerebrospinal systems.
19. We are through with this reading. 2 Copies to husband (one for Dr. Henry George III, D.O.)
