1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [5322], born June 18, 1897, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, there is much to be considered. For we have here an unusual personality and an unusual individuality. For ofttimes when there are questions which may be pertaining to spiritual evolutions or spiritual understandings, or of a scientific nature, the entity finds itself at a loss to interpret its own feelings in the discussions it may hear. Here we find an entity who is very social-minded at times and yet one who desires most of all, at other times, to just be let alone and let it "think things through" for itself.
4. These are so definitely changed moods that there are those who call and consider the entity at times rather eccentric; at other times rather moody. These are very good or very bad, dependent upon the stresses that are put upon the conditions in the mind of the entity itself. If these periods of what may be called at times self-condemnation soon pass away it is very well, but if the entity continues for more than eight hours to be in a mood, then the entity should be doing something about same.
5. There are great abilities within the entity even as [to] scientific problems, nature's problems. Problems of the
5322-1 Page 2
mind, scientifically analyzed, are parts of the consciousness of the entity, even when it is in one of those moods, as it may be termed by the entity itself or by others. And yet, in the other moods, who can be more cheerful or more quickly dispel fears or doubts in the minds of others?
6. Then the whole disturbance or the whole suggested activity, not as a disturbance, save that it disturbs the entity, is that there must be the choice of ideals, spiritually, mentally, materially. These should not be merely as tenets that you will think about or that you would copy from a prayer book or even from the Book itself, the Bible. But rather as the result of the entity "thinking same through" but referring to at least ten promises of the Lord and Master. Find these, yes. What is the first that would come to you of a promise? "Come unto me, all that are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Does this to you mean the promise, or something that a good man said and "I hope I'll understand it some day"? Isn't it a direct challenge to yourself in some of the moods in which you find yourself? Isn't it a scientific fact that He is the savior of the world? Or have ye thought of it in that manner? It is true. For from the very first of the Old Testament to the very last even of Revelation, He is not merely the subject of the book, He is the author in the greater part, having given to man the mind and the purpose for its having been put in print. For it is in Him ye live and move and have thy being and as He gave, "Search ye the scriptures, for they be they that testify of me, and in them ye THINK ye have eternal life."
7. If ye know Him, ye know that in Him ye have eternal life. For He is the beginning and the end of all things.
8. So, as the entity analyzes its own purposes in the earth, as it determines what its ideals are, know they must ever be as beginning and ending in Him. But, as to how to make application of same, do not merely say "I'll take this from this prayer book, this from another book or this quotation from the Bible," but draw the line around each of these: Physical, Mental and Spiritual, and write under each heading the ideals. Write the sort of mother ye should be to your boy, or what sort of a wife would be the ideal one. These are material, not mental even. For these are physical things. What is thy son's concept of thee? What is thy concept of thy Lord thy God? These do, and ye will make life more worthwhile.
9. For, as we find from the astrological angles, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, all are parts of the consciousness;
5322-1 Page 3
and thus the love of beauty, the high-mindedness of a mind or matter; the abilities to rule in the home and to be a pattern for others. As ye may hand out a recipe to thy neighbor for those muffins, it would be well to hand some love along with it also - it'll make the muffins better, as well as make friendships and life more worthwhile!
10. In Venus we find appreciation of beauty, as well as of things. Ye should find the diamond and the ruby close to your body oft, for their vibrations will keep the vibrations of the body in better attune with infinity and not with purely mental or material things of life.
11. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, these have been quite varied. For, as we find, while all may not be given, these indicate the pattern of the entity, in the way it may apply and what it may apply from the varied experiences which may be indicated.
12. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity in those early settlings of the land. We find the entity in the name then of Esther Duff was a good judge of skins of animals which were a part of the experience of those with whom the entity was associated in that particular experience.
13. Thus in the present there are times when these are things apart and others when these will be a part of the consciousness. Thus this great variation, as is indicated astrologically in Uranus, the extremes. Not that the body is an extremist, it's lovely in its ability to make a home, its abilities to make friendships, as well as lovely in the ability to make a person be in his place when he bespeaks that which isn't so well. These may make for the moods, but finding thy ideal they may be kept closely in the right direction.
14. Before that we find the entity was in the Incal land when there were those changes so oft of the peoples, when there was destruction by the peoples. The entity was in the capacity as a leader of her peoples who would bring help to others, and because of the gold, and because of the things, there were men who today are those who grovel about thine own activities, not in the capacity of friend, but as a laborer or laborers.
15. The entity trusted too well in man. The entity was a leader, and in the name Itcam. In the experience the entity lost materially, gained mentally and spiritually. And what is it that ye gained? The whole world, but lost thy own soul; and here ye gained possession of same. Keep it then in patience, in love, in gentleness, in kindness, longsuffering, and in brotherly love. For these are indeed
5322-1 Page 4
the fruits of the spirit and these will bring greater harmony in the life experiences as ye journey along life's highway. For life is the animation of that which is a part of God's consciousness, and to such as thee He hath given the soul that it may be one with Him when it has finished those activities in the earth of just being kind to the other fellow throughout thy realm of activity.
16. And remember, a kindness sometimes consists in denying as well as granting those activities in associations with thy fellow man. As ye do it unto the least of thy brethren, ye do it to thy Maker.
17. Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land when there were those returnings to the Holy Land from the Egyptian land. For the entity was among those then who were of the household of one Ebenezer, and in the name then Smalahn made for the gatherings of the peoples who were close to Caleb"s household, and thus of the Judah tribe but in the offices as those who would study the mysteries of the various groups and the various lands, that these might be applied in the tenets from the law of the Lord in the tabernacle service.
18. These never led peoples, though varied much from the wisdoms as established by some. Thus, as the entity finds itself, not always orthodox, not always in accord with those who become too severe, nor yet always in accord with those who become too open-minded without the consideration that the Law of the Lord is perfect if followed through.
19. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were those preparations for emissaries to other lands, the teachings of peoples for home building, the helpfulness in selecting of body and mind to fit those for these offices in that land.
20. The entity was then among those who were, as in a material sense, in a station or a position as an instructor or teacher in the Temple Beautiful.
21. Thus the entity's home always is a joy to others. The entity's activities with others, whenever they may be obtained wholeheartedly, are beautiful.
22. In the present, then, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth and keeping from condemnation of self as well as others.
23. In the home is the greater service but in instruction or in counsel to the young also may the entity contribute to the welfare of its fellow man.
24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) Have I a field of activity beyond homemaking?
5322-1 Page 5
(A) As has been indicated, the field of activity, the greater is the home, but contributing to other places or higher places is also a part of its experience.
26. (Q) Am I using my abilities wisely and guidedly? (A) Remember the warnings. But you are using very well and who is to judge? Father God, not thy fellow man. So judge ye not, lest ye be also judged.
27. (Q) Have I something that needs to be developed? (A) AS has been indicated, the scientific end of these things, the scientific home, the scientific manner and approach to activities in the home, these should be the study of the entity.
28. (Q) Should I withdraw from any present activity? (A) No.
29. (Q) Is there anything I should do differently? (A) You should do all you do differently. There is the purpose, the ideal, the activity.
30. (Q) In what way am I extravagant? (A) Not extravagant save when ye would get out of the mood.
31. (Q) Should we continue to live where we are, or would it be wise to sell our house? (A) This, as we find, should be the result of contemplation, then of meditation and prayer. Ye can build greatly where ye are, but if there are tho be changes let them come within the next year and not afterward.
