This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of July, 1944, in accordance with request made by Mother, Mrs. [...], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by article in Coronet Magazine.

R E A D I N G

Born March 13, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Penna. Time of Reading Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Pa.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called: [5384].

3. There is much here to be commended; there is much here to be corrected. For the entity finds itself too easily discouraged and because of lack of associations, it becomes solemn. Know it is not all of life to live, nor all of death to die. For there are definite services for which the entity may apply itself in manners to make the world a better place because of the entity's entrance into same. Not altogether a life of ease, no; not altogether a life of just social climbing, and if the entity seeks to better itself in wedlock, it'll be sorely disappointed unless first it contributes something to the social and the material welfare of children.

4. Thus as we find, for the entity, if it would find itself, begin with children in their early teen-age - eleven, twelve, thirteen years of age, the juniors - and make a social life, make a spiritual background; make each of them find within that which they may do the better. The entity can analyze such activities by the study of the character of each individual child, and thus may the entity find in self the outlet for that which will make the life most worthwhile. Without it, it will ever be a drudge to this entity. And though it may attain social prominence (it might), yet it will be disappointing and be bitter in the

experience, before there are even children to bless and the preparations of the home for the entity.

5. But in this particular period of developing itself in preparation for home or social position, let it be as from that of welfare work for the unfortunate.

6. Here it would be well for the entity to study camp life for boys or girls of this particular age. That which is character-forming and let the background of each be as the entity studies of spiritual purposes and not of material selfishness.

7. As to the appearances, these have much greater urge than the astrological aspects, for Saturn is too oft the urge unless the entity does something itself about helping the less fortunate individuals.

8. Before this we find the entity was in the land now known as the Capital land or Washington, District of Columbia. Here we find the entity was in the early settling there, when there was the beginning of what may be called the social sets, the social groups. The entity, as Ethel Shummann, attempted to be the leader and was rejected because of its selfishness, and thus there the entity eventually learned the lesson and it brought the consciousness of this: God is not mocked and whatsoever an entity or individual sows, that it reaps in its own experiences with its fellow man, knowing as ye do it unto the least of thy brethren ye do it to thyself, thy God-self.

9. Before that we find the entity was in the English land in the early settlings [Stonehenge?] of the children of Israel who were foregathered with the daughters of Hezekiah in what is now Somerland, Somerhill or Somerset. There the entity saw group organization for the preservation of tenets and truths of the living God, just as those admonitions would be for the entity in the present as it begins that social service with children.

10. Preserve the law of the Lord. For it is perfect and it converteth the soul. Not, then, by might or power but by His word, saith the Lord of hosts.

11. In the experience the entity gained, for it helped in establishing aids to the children of the period in making better homes, in making better relationships in the abilities to care for selves, and as vocational activities.

12. These should be parts of the entity's work in the present.

13. The name then was Ruth.

14. Before that we find the entity was in the Holy Land when there was the establishing of the various groups or tribes in the land. The entity was then among those who were of

the Moabite land and yet, becoming friends with Naomi and Ruth, came into the group activity in Judah, and thus the entity later was acquainted with the forefathers of Jesse and David, for the entity indeed was a friend of Obed, the son of Ruth, the associate who brought those activities to an understanding individual whom God loved.

15. So act, then, in thine activities in the present that this may be said of thee - not merely by thine own acclamation - but by what others see - that ye contribute to the welfare of keeping God's word before others.

16. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were emissaries sent to varied lands. The entity prepared individuals for those activities and thus, contributing in the manner in the Temple of Sacrifice of preserving the welfare or health of individuals, there is in the present an urge towards helpfulness. But social life, do not let it be thy stumblingblock.
