Time of Reading 4:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City. (Body and enquiring mind - questions regarding business associations and relations)
1. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [5417], and those associations as surround the body respecting business. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Did I make a mistake leaving ... to go with [...]? (A) No - there will be seen, in the changes as will be effected in the twelve to fourteen months, wherein the change was quite a wise one.
3. (Q) What future does ... hold for me? (A) This is rather an indefinite manner to ask for such relations, for this might be covered in a word - yet little understood. There are many conditions to be considered when such relations, or a future is to be considered. Not only is the consideration to be of a monetary view - for, if THIS is the only consideration, why very little more than an ORDINARY condition may be expected, but when the abilities of self as related to not ONLY the monetary, but those relations wherein an individual is able to use the surroundings with which it, the individual, is encompassed, to manifest that expression of SELF, in self's own development, with its relationships to others, and of the service also that may be rendered to the fellowman in the various spheres that such a position gives an opportunity for, then MUCH may depend upon that which the body gives in service, and the manner in which same is rendered. While there may come, and will come, some periods of unsatisfactory conditions, the changes, the opportunities for the body, mentally, spiritually, financially, are good.
4. (Q) Will I be able to make the business successful? (A) This has just been answered, in the manner in which the body goes about to express - or to put in motion that of an ideal, as in relationships to the service and services, the associations with which the body finds self surrounded in this relationship, in operation. The body will be able -

the body is capable - the body may EXPECT - success.
5. (Q) What opinion have my employers - Mr. [...], Mr. [...] and Mr. [...] - about me? (A) The ability to DO THINGS - this is the opinion of those! There are, to be sure, different ways of expressing or manifesting same. The characterisitics of each of these individuals are so different - yet, with one accord, each BELIEVES in the individual. One, as we find - and set these out to be studied - by the characteristics given - not by the names, for we won't give them! One, he will be rather inclined to be bombastic as to those actions of self, and will intimate such is expected of [5417]. The next, rather of the quiet - yet active - yet sympathetic in each activity, and in each of the conferences these characteristics will be seen. The other, rather the quick - eccentric at times, and at others very fault-finding - at others inclined to be rather OVER-effulgent in the manner of compliments.
6. (Q) Is there anything special that I can do to make it successful? (A) Work like thunder!
7. (Q) Should I sell Goldman Saacs? (A) Dependent upon that with which would be DONE with the returns from same. Why change, would the same CHARACTER of conditions or investments be followed?
8. That is all the questions.
9. Now, in summing these all together - there must be the first consideration, not as of selfish purposes, but of the conservation of self's own abilities; for what profit it a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Be sure, then, that the business, as well as self, takes care and is mindful of the soul - for the spirit that maketh alive manifests through that of the INDIVIDUAL soul, and a business - a large business, even - may or may not have a soul. A SOUL meaning that which, in this sense, that lives ON in the lives, in the minds and hearts, of those served by that business. Be mindful of that! We are through with this reading.
