1. EC: We have the body here, Mrs. [5429]. Now we find there are those conditions as produce distresses with the physical forces of the body. These are of long standing. Hence there may be - and there have been - complications as arise from these conditions. The greater distress comes from the poor eliminations as have long existed with the system, and the changes - as have been wrought in the system from the attempt to create a more stabilized, or a more excess of elimination in first one direction then another, have brought the greater distresses in the form of the complications.

2. There has long existed in system subluxations - that have produced improper incentives. This [is] the main or first cause of the distress as produced in functioning of organs, as related to a coordinated elimination. This, then, [is] the cause at the present time of the high state of nerve exhaustion that comes from undue activity - whether of the mental or the physical nature, and unless SOME changes ARE made must eventually break down under the strain as is constantly being produced.

3. Now, because there are these complications and because so many varied conditions and portions of the system are involved IN the disturbance, it is not to be considered that the body is helpless - nor hopeless; for a correction of conditions to where a near NORMAL condition may nearly exist may be brought about. The changes as are of nature taking place in the system also has its part in the condition, yet the early change is produced from the suppressions as have existed through the subluxations of segments, and this misdirected, and the energy then becoming a taxation, and a tired, nervous, depleted system the result. Yet the body in some conditions has much vitality, especially as regarding will's application in self, and the body has for many, many moons forced self to go about its daily tasks whether that

of social, or of business relations, and this has in part aided the system - yet this, too, without recuperative forces, must eventually give out.

4. Now to meet the needs of the conditions for this body, Mrs. [5429] we are speaking of, there must first be the determination in self that the body will consistently and persistently follow out those lines of the corrective influences for the physical conditions of the body.

5. First, as soon as possible, the body should completely rest - as near as is possible to do so, REST! only taking sufficient exercise to produce the nominal digestion of the foods taken in system. The BETTER conditions and surroundings would be sand, salt, and sea air, and plenty of sunshine - remaining in and on the sands as much as would be possible to do without bringing about too much irritation to the exposed portions (and there should be as much of the body exposed to the air as there could well be).

6. In this rest will come renewed energy, yet there will be - after such ten days to two weeks of REST - then the real WORK to perform.

7. The diet during the rest should consist principally of, for morning meals - fruit, eggs, milk. For lunch, those almost wholly of green vegetables - or of FRESH vegetables little cooked. Evenings, the JUICES of meats but not meats, and vegetables that are of a well BALANCED nature for blood and nerve energy. Plenty of carrots, beets, lettuce, celery, particularly. These should be the diet, and should be kept much the same throughout the correcting of the conditions.

8. After the rest, begin with those of corrections - osteopathically - of those subluxations and sublimations as exist in the coccyx and the lower dorsal and lumbar region, with sufficient relaxation of the upper dorsal and cervical to create an equilibrium in the system.

9. The body may then begin LIGHT exercise - housework, or social conditions.

10. Then, after this has been taken for at least twelve to fifteen treatments - each taken each day - these may be put FARTHER apart and taken twice to three times each week, and taking (after the twelfth adjustment - and the body relaxed thoroughly with wet heat before adjustments are made, especially in lumbar and sacral and coccyx region) those of these properties:

11. To 4 ounces of simple syrup add: Tincture Valerian......................1 ounce, Elixir Calisaya........................1 ounce,

5429-1 Page 3

Essence of Celery....................1/2 ounce, 10% Solution Bromide of Potassium.....20 drops, 10% Solution Iodide of Potassium.....1/2 ounce, Tincture Capsici.......................2 minims.

12. Shake solution together before each dose is taken, taking half a teaspoonful in water or plain - half an hour AFTER each meal, and EAT the meals! Still continuing as much exercise in the open as possible.

13. After sixty to ninety days we should find the nearer normal condition for this body. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) To what extent the state of my teeth and gums is affecting my health? (A) The state of teeth and gums rather the result of conditions in system, than producing same. These add, naturally, to the distresses through the accumulation of poisons in system from this condition. Use that of Ipsab, and change the conditions in SPECIFIC manner with those conditions in mouth - using that (Ipsab) at least twice each week, thoroughly massaging gums with same, with dipping the finger in solution and rubbing gums - outside and inside; correcting local conditions where teeth show abscesses forming. These may be best determined by the X Ray - though we see the conditions here.

15. (Q) What causes the external vaginal irritation and suggest a remedy? (A) Produced by nerve condition, especially in lumbar and sacral region. The correction of these conditions will materially aid the body in this direction, though an antiseptic may be used occasionally - as douches, for this irritation. Those of small amounts of Glyco-Thymoline, or of any vaginal douche that is ALKALIN in its reaction; not having solution too strong - using this as given, we would use teaspoonful to half a gallon of warm or lukewarm water.

16. (Q) Why do I suffer with swimming in the head at intervals? (A) With the condition described is there much wonder that there's suffering? with the depletion as existent in the whole system? These are reflexes from the conditions as have been described. Make the corrections as we have given and we will bring normal forces, or near normal forces for this body.
