1. EC: We have the body here. These conditions, as we find, have to do with disturbances in the vegetative nerve system, so that the gastric juices of the stomach itself - and that through the intestinal tract - so act upon that of the lymph and capillary circulation as to produce that of the eruptive forces through the eliminations being attempted to be carried there, rather than the coordination in the vegetative system as to produce proper peristaltic movement through the intestinal system; and hence we find conditions in PORTIONS of the intestinal tract that must eventually produce either those of holes, or as it is in the present - improper absorption into the system of poisons, which will eventually bring those of the peritonitis, or of those of such a nature that will be destructive to the system. These conditions, as we find, are from TWO causes. In the beginning, we find in times back there were those conditions as made for the improper activity in system through assimilations. With the properties as were taken - in medicinal manners - as would aid in assimilation, this partook of those conditions as form the walls of intestines in such a manner as to make for less of those of the serums, or of the juices in system which act as cushions for the activity of foods through intestinal tract. Then, with the activities in the system - where, in the stomach proper, those forces as make for those of an over acidity in system - brings the activity of the blood supply with the lymph of the body in such a nature and manner as to make for the absorptions, as have - and do in a manner exist in the system, producing a weakness in the vitality, a thinning of the blood supply, a high pulsation, an abnormal pressure in the heart's action - though not an ORGANIC disorder; functional, produced by the conditions existent in the WHOLE of the system.
2. Then, in meeting the needs of these conditions, we will find that there must be some rest first for the DIGESTIVE
5434-1 Page 2
system, so that the gastric juices of stomach, duodenum and alimentary canal, may gain an equilibrium sufficient to build for a basis of proper recuperation in the system.
3. During such a period of rest - PHYSICAL rest, MENTAL rest - the food values should be those - in the water as taken, principally of elm - in small quantities - and of saffron and camomile. These may be made into teas, in weakened solution - one to twenty - and drunk as the waters for the body. In food values, these should be those that are of the nature that is easily assimilated, such as would be in dried milk, raw eggs with milk - but not taking the white with same. Small QUANTITIES of spirits frumenti may be made with these, but this quantity must be reduced in the system - else we are to add to those conditions as exist in the colon itself, especially as to the activities same produce upon the kidneys and the bladder itself. In these changes, then, we will find that two teaspoonsful, or a tablespoonful may be taken in the milk and egg. Those of the diet as is of an ALKALIN nature may be gradually added in two or three days after this rest is begun. Then we would, as we begin first, in the beginning, EMPTY or irrigate the whole of the colon, so that the fermentations as have existed there will be eased. Not so much as to produce stretching, nor a ballooning in any portion of the intestinal tract, but most must be builded to those of the serums or juices as act in the building up and STRENGTHENING of the duodenum and the jejunum, especially. In the caecum end, this will necessarily need manipulations, that the DISTRIBUTIONS of the system will not irritate the capillary circulation more than necessary.
4. For the abrasions, in the beginning, as occur - or the rash as comes from those of the effects created in the vegetative system - we will apply those of sulphur and lard. These will be made in the proportions as will be active in that they may be rubbed thoroughly into the cuticle itself.
5. We will find, will these be carried out, that the body will replenish, rebuild, and in a few WEEKS be on the road to ELIMINATING those distresses that have caused so long the disorders in the system, [5434]. Do that. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Is there an ulcerated stomach? (A) Rather that of a pitted, or an eruption in duodenum and intestines; NOT ulcerations in stomach. An ACIDITY in stomach, that is more in the form of a rash within. It is the VEGETATIVE system that's greatest in distress. That's the nerves to the intestinal tract proper becoming inflamed by the drawing off from same all of the circulation, or in a
5434-1 Page 3
great manner the circulation from that portion of system. Hence, as the circulation acts through the lymph and the exterior or capillary circulation, it draws or brings poisons to the center as eruptions in the exterior portions of the system, in extremities especially - for the circulation becomes lessened there. High hepatic circulation, low or torpidity in liver, excess of uric acids, and such in the system. Will those conditions as we have given be followed, we will find corrective measures may be brought - will these be disregarded, or only those of a palliative nature given, acting as sedatives in the system, these must eventually bring eruptions that will be ulcerations, lacerations, or PUNCTURES - as is the outcome of same, by the thinning of the walls of the stomach and the intestines.
7. (Q) Is there any sinus trouble? (A) This is rather the lack of circulation, by so much blood supply being taken up in the lymph and the serums of system, that makes for a dryness - and is more of a catarrh than of sinus trouble. Dry catarrhal condition.
8. (Q) Should there be any local treatment for this? (A) Not in the beginning. These will be necessary when - but let's begin at the BASIS of the conditions, for those properties as will be found in that as will be given rather as in the change in the serums in the stomach itself, in that of the elm, saffron, and of the other properties, will bring those of more of the active forces as to build for resistance. With the manipulations for the accentuated, or the extension of the capillary circulation, the soft tissue in head, neck and face, will have its treatment through manipulations in the beginning. Then, when the conditions become such as are localized, and the general system is building up, we may meet those of LOCAL conditions. A GENERAL is the better in the beginning with this condition.
9. (Q) How often should manipulations be given? (A) In the beginning they should be at least every other day.
10. (Q) How often may the sulphur and lard be applied to the abrasions? (A) When they produce such a great amount of irritation, as to become so as they are IRRITATING. This may be necessary several times during the day, as we BEGIN gradually will this be farther and farther apart. Not a great amount - only that that may be rubbed thoroughly in, but don't get out in the rain or get the feet wet while these are being applied, for these will act quickly with the blood supply. Sulphur is needed in the blood, as is also iodine. We are
