1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5474]. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions for this body. These are of a specific nature, yet the effect as is produced by the affectation is of such a nature as to cause distresses in other portions of the physical organism.

2. Now, these conditions, as we find, are an example of how these may be corrected, in more than one manner, and the ordinary way of undertaking such would be by operation - yet, as we find, with this body, conditions are such that much better results may be obtained by other means, and the results will be of much more satisfactory nature than were operation - or operations, as it would be in this case - resorted to, for the conditions are of the nature that they will respond to other treatments. While it would possibly take a few weeks longer to accomplish this, yet the results will be so MUCH more satisfactory from EVERY standpoint, that WE would not even consider same except as a LAST resort, and WE see that - were the corrections begun in the PROPER manner, and the conditions and changes followed closely, these would not EVER be necessary.

3. Now, the specific conditions have to do with the functioning of the organs, especially of the pelvis organs, and of conditions as have had to do with results produced in digestive system, in the whole of the system as related to assimilations and as related to the nerve system of the body. The suffering [is] produced by lesions and adhesions. Adhesions, ORDINARILY, refer to tissue becoming adhered to other tissue, or organs becoming so inflamed (as in this condition) that, with the system attempting to adjust itself to the NEEDS of conditions, adhere tissue in such a way as to PRODUCE for the system those conditions that become then such as is seen here - adhesions or lesions form from adhesions. Both conditions exist. These also disturb the eliminating, especially as relative to that of the colon and that portion of the colon as has to do with the vermiform

appendage, or the appendix, and the appendix region. These, necessarily produce taxation to kidneys, to the organs of the pelvis themselves, a drain upon the nervous system, a taxation to the blood supply. While sufficient VITALITY still remains, yet why destroy such with etherization as would come to the central nervous system, would it be found necessary, or would the operation be resorted to.

4. Rather, then, by manipulations, osteopathically given, where CORRECTIONS would be made, and where the placement of organs and of the tissue as involved would be LOCALLY treated in such a way and manner as to give relief to the body through the proper channels, and the system absorbing, throwing off, breaking up the adhesions, breaking up the lesions and tissue and organs becoming the normal functioning of same, through the system adjusting itself vibratorially through the nerve supply and through the blood forces as would become normal for all CHARACTER of eliminations for the body.

5. Then, we would do this under the supervision where such information as is necessary for the changes that occur may be followed closely. Do that. We are through with this reading.
