1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5476]. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions for this body, and these - taken in time - may be corrected. These conditions have to do with specific conditions as affect the functioning organs, and that as is produced in others from same. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5476] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:

2. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of those organs as are disturbed, both as to the functioning OF the organ as is related to the functional condition of same, and the result as is produced in the blood stream by the lack of numbers in red and white blood cells as are found in the system, and MOST with the character of the plasm in the white blood supply.

3. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here, again, we find a taxation as - not a result so much, though a condition that may assume such proportions as to cause such disturbance; yet at the present we find this rather an effect of an overtaxing of the body, rather than the cause of disturbances. These conditions, especially, exist in the upper portion of the dorsal and the cervical region, REFLEXLY only in the lumbar and sacral.

4. IN FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces very good.

5. In functioning of the organs of the sensory system, near normal - though at times an accentuation in same.

6. In throat and bronchia we find evidences of inflammation, also of strain as is produced in same through the attempt of the upper circulation to meet the needs of irritation, produced by that brought about sympathetically from the respiratory system.

7. Bronchia and lung, again show this effect of the disturbances as are produced in the organs of elimination - especially as regulated by the upper or the pulmonary circulation, from the distresses as are produced in kidneys and in liver - we find this causes or allows the blood in

5476-1 Page 2

lungs proper to remain, as it were, so long as to cause the accumulations of poisons there, that - in the effect upon the cells themselves - produce this inflammation as has set up there. Hence the temperature comes as much from the hepatic circulation as it does from the bacilli in the blood, or the inflammation in lung.

8. Heart action, naturally - under this strain, especially of irritation to the pulmonaries to the aorta artery and to that of the bronchia itself - shows a faster pulsation. Not an organic condition of any nature at present.

9. In the digestive system - here we find rather the seat or the cause of disturbance as has been produced, or the strain on the system in such a manner as to allow a clogging up of the system without the proper eliminations through their proper channels. In eliminations, we have more than one character OF elimination. Not only does the elimination act through the effectual activities of the liver, with the digestive system, and through the kidneys and the urinary canals, but through the respiratory system - and when one becomes so clogged as to prevent the normal eliminations, then another portion of the body suffers from same.

10. The conditions then, as exist here, rather first the unbalancing of the metabolism of the system, and the throwing of the eliminating of poisons and gases from the system, from poor assimilation and digestive organs, caused the pulmonaries to find the conditions as exist to give lodgement there, and the strain becomes greater as the accumulations would increase.

11. The liver, then, and the digestive system as related to same, are the seats or the causes here to be met and contended with, as much AS the condition as exists in the pulmonaries and lungs themselves, for to correct one without the proper attention to the other, to create a balance in system, would merely be to prolong or to have the return of these conditions which would bring detrimental forces to the organs of the system.

12. In, then, the left lobe of the liver, we find there the improper secretions - the gall duct does not act properly with the assimilating forces - the tendency of the body to not thoroughly masticate the foods as first or before taken into the system - the lack of the salivary glands and the secretions to produce the lactics for the system, and the overacidity, or the hyper-acidity as is produced in same, has brought about these overbalancing conditions. Not that the body has reached that condition where they may not be effectually eliminated, but the proper precautions should be taken IN the eliminations, so that the correct balance is

kept.

13. We have also that condition in the pancreas, as affects the eliminations as related to the kidneys. These finding an over-activity at times, and at others a very subnormal. These producing, then, the strain back to the kidneys, and the liver forms those channels that throw back INTO the system those poisons as should be eliminated. Hence the feeling at times of the body that there is an inner and an outer casement, as it were, of the body - colder or warmer encasing the whole system throughout. The joints and the extremities giving pains at times - not severe - but sufficient that the pressure is felt in the joint and sinew, as well as in the muscular forces.

14. In the lower portion of the digestive system - here we also find evidences of the IMPROPER eliminations through the alimentary canal, or when any over active force is produced - by any quantity of purgatives - the system is easily fatigued, or DRAINED - as it were.

15. To meet the needs, then, of the conditions as exist: These we would do:

16. First we would REST, where the conditions for the body are pleasant - with surroundings that will keep the mental attitude of the body in a CONSTRUCTIVE way and manner.

17. Then we would begin with the use, personally, of food values that will correct the super-acidity of the system. All, then, ALKALINE PRODUCTIONS for the system. Not so much of OVER stimulating in this direction with sodas that will act with the juices of the system, or with the circulation as related to the hepatics, or to the capillaries - but that that creates rather the strengthening of those portions of the system as to CREATE more of the lactics or of the alkaline reaction in system, stimulating the liver and its tributaries, especially as to the mesenteric system, or the connections of the organs with same in their nerve functionings and nerve impulses along the cerebrospinal system. Do not eat too much MEATS, but rather the JUICES of same. Plenty of tomatoes, of milk, and rest.

18. Using for the bronchia and lungs those of the inhalant that will act as an antiseptic and CLEANSING the system of the mucus as is thrown off, either by the respiratory system or by irritation to such as to produce a cough. These we would find in that prepared in THIS manner for this body:

19. To 6 ounces of 85% alcohol, in a 12 ounce or 10 ounce container, with glass cork, we would add: Eucalyptol (or oil of same)............30 minims, Oil of White Pine......................15 minims,

5476-1 Page 4

Benzosol...............................20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp..................15 minims, Canadian Balsam.........................5 minims, Tolu in Solution......................1/2 ounce. Only shake solution before the inhalation is made. Inhale through (that is, the fumes off of same) the mouth and nostrils. DO this whenever necessary to reduce or to prevent coughing, or to clarify or CLEANSE, antiseptically, the throat and bronchia - after coughing.

20. We would ALSO use those of apple BRANDY, in a container - preferably charred - that is HEATED slightly, to throw off the fumes or the emanations from same. Best that this be kept in a container at least three times as large as the quantity used. INHALE the fumes - don't drink it - INHALE the fumes.

21. But prepare this for a stimuli of the digestive system, and to aid the ASSIMILATIONS in system:

22. Take 6 ounces of garden sage, dried. Put in half a gallon of DISTILLED water. Reduce by simmering to 1 quart. Strain while warm and add 1/2 pint of gin - preferably Gordon's Gin, and 1 dram of Cinnamon - in stick - 2 ounces of simple syrup - dissolve 15 grains of ambergris in 1 ounce of PURE alcohol and add to same.

23. Shake the solution before the dose is taken. The dose should be 2 teaspoonsful 20 to 30 minutes before the meals are eaten.

24. We will find it also well to occasionally use - once a week, or twice a week - the vibrations along the cerebrospinal system, especially over the solar plexus center to the base of the brain, those vibrations from an electrically DRIVEN vibrator, that we may assist the centers to EMANATE the proper incentives from the changed vibration kept or made in system through those things given or applied. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Is the climate at Virginia Beach in any way detrimental? or is it beneficial? (A) With the corrections of the system as related to the liver and digestion, the climate would be better. With the conditions still kept existent, the climate rather tended to be hard on same. A rarefied climate would be better in that state - but THESE may be corrected, as has been given, and would prove beneficial. It would ALSO prove beneficial in that climate for the sand packs, sand baths.

26. (Q) Where may the apple brandy be obtained? (A) Make it! We are through for the present.
