1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5486]. Now, we find, while the body is very good in many respects, there are those disturbing conditions that, were they taken in time and the proper corrections made, would prevent a great deal of distress later on; for the conditions are gradually building those conditions for portions of the system that prove detrimental to the better development, or the better resuscitation of life forces in the system.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5486], we are speaking of:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find sufficient in QUANTITY. In the CHARACTER of the blood there is seen there is disturbance in the eliminations as relate to the organs of the hepatic circulation. Especially is there seen that there are poisons from the kidneys and liver, to a lesser degree, carried in the system. Hence the distresses as are experienced at times with the lower digestion.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find the greater causes of distress. Here we find not only are there evidences of the distresses as are produced in the eliminating system, but that the drosses as are left or carried in the system are finding lodgement in weakened conditions of the system and causing distress to the functioning of the SYMPATHETIC system, as well as the organs of the sensory system. These conditions exist particularly in the 4th lumbar and in the 3rd and 5th dorsal. The effect is the excitement to the mucus system, or lymphatic system, especially to the head and to the face, and the headaches - in sympathy with conditions existent. In the digestive system, as given, are produced from these disturbances, as is also the effect as comes to the respitory [respiratory] system and the breathing and the heart's action - these are sympathetic conditions, not causes. That condition existent in the lumbar being the main, or THE cause or the seat of the troubles; the others being the more sympathetic, and produced from congestion following those of cold or

5486-1 Page 2

congestion that has affected the system as reference to the sympathetic system, through those of the secondary cardiac forces, from that plexus and disturbance in the form of a lateral lesion in the dorsal, while this in the LUMBAR more of the circular. This producing the pressures as cause distress in the hepatic circulation.

5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, as seen, or as given, these are in sympathy, through the activities OF the sympathetic system. Hence the high nervous state of the body at times; the restlessness as is produced, the cold feet, the tendency of the body to feel as if everything is ALL going wrong. The nervous COLD reactions are effects, NOT causes.

6. In meeting the needs, then, of the conditions of this system - those conditions as are builded in the body through the mental forces must also be responded to, and while there might be the proper corrections made that would bring about the near normal conditions, the mind as WELL as the physical forces of system must be given consideration in the reactions. BEST would the body to be from the present SURROUNDINGS, FOR the proper adjustments, for the proper vibratory forces to be set up in the system, to meet the needs of the conditions.

7. But first, osteopathically, we would correct those conditions existent in the lumbar and dorsal regions, adding to same those vibrations in the medicinal properties as would be found in such as this, and in these proportions, and mixed in the ORDER as may be given:

8. To 4 ounces, then, of simple syrup, we would add: Tincture of Valerian......................1 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya......................1/2 ounce, 10% Solution of Iodide of Potassium......40 minims, 10% Solution of Bromide of Potassium.....20 minims, Tincture of Capsici.......................3 minims. Shake the solution together before the dose is to be taken, which should be half a teaspoonful in water 3 to 4 times each day.

9. Be mindful of the diet, that there are those proper reactions in the system from those of the NON-acid or the alkalin reaction. Beware of meats to any great extent. Rather those of the green vegetables, and ESPECIALLY those growing ABOVE the ground. As much of the leafy vegetables as may be used, whether raw or whether well cooked.

10. Well, too, that occasionally - at first it should be at least once each week - the eliminations through the

5486-1 Page 3

alimentary canal be produced rather by those OF the enema, than those of the cathartics - that only stimulate the secretions to the detriment of the activities of the liver and the hepatic circulation.

11. Do this. We would find we would bring the better conditions to this body in 60 to 90 days, near NORMAL forces for the body. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
