1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [5494]. Now, as we find, there are conditions as disturb the physical functioning of the body. These conditions, as we find, are reactory; or they are effects as WELL as specific causes, and easily would the condition be directed as from the effect rather than from the cause. This would necessarily bring only temporary relief, yet conditions are such that, are the effects and causes BOTH considered in applications for improvement, these may be eradicated from the system. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [5494]:
2. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there are the indications of a poor circulation, or that as may be termed an INTERMITTENT circulation; at times the pressure would be ABOVE normal, then there would be periods when the pressure would be BELOW, this causing the condition in the heart's action, which is NOT organic in its nature, rather the effects of poisons and pressure in the alimentary canal, as disturbs and produces in the upper right portion of body - close under the lung - that of a heaviness and a quivery sensation. As we shall see, this produced by those of pressures in system, affecting the cardiac and the SECONDARY cardiac plexus, making ALSO for conditions where there is a tendency for the body to swallow more often than necessary, apparently a rising of something in the throat or epiglottis.
3. In the ELEMENTS of the blood supply itself, these we find carry that as would be termed as a MALARIAL germ, or strept of the nature that produces at times a little temperature, which - when the system ADJUSTS itself - at periods makes a subnormal temperature, and that at THAT period produces a fullness and a tightness in the abdominal region, just BELOW the liver, and in the area of the lacteal ducts.
4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, here we find there has existed for some time specific centers that have had an impingement, forming a lesion of a circular and lateral nature; CIRCULAR

in the upper lumbar and lower dorsal, lateral in the 3rd and 4th dorsal, with the tautness in the cervical area. These have become, or DO become, accentuated at times under the stress as is produced in the system, which - with the very nature of same - has tended to make for IMPROPER eliminations THROUGH the alimentary canal, making of a sub-action, or below normal activity, in the hepatic circulation. Hence the sparseness of the urine at times, and the tendency for the BURNING sensation in the bladder area at times. These are from the over-acid as exists, and the attempt of the system to eliminate those poisons or accumulations as come from the COLON area itself. Especially is this seen in the ascending and the first portion of transverse colon.
5. In the activities, then, these are as a reflex IN the nervous system. Hence the tendency for the body at times to feel entirely depleted of strength, a little excitement or over-activity producing palpitation or quick pulsation, or a fullness in the area about the heart itself, tingling sensation in the feet, tendency for the lower limbs to feel as if going to sleep, easily; portions of the joints at times seem swollen and heavy. These are effects from this acid, or this poison in system, as well as from those first SPECIFIC causes from subluxations or impingements in the cerebrospinal system.
6. The ORGANS, as indicated, function under those distressed conditions - which COME and go; that is, there are periods when the body feels fairly well for a few days, then there will be the recurrent conditions of this nerve exhaustion, as it were, no strength or vitality as to KEEP the normalcy.
7. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions, WE would find that - were there in the beginning those of the proper osteopathic manipulations and adjustments made, these will make for more rest, and for the proper BALANCING of the system as related to eliminations.
8. We would have at least, in the first two weeks, THREE COLONIC irrigations. This, as we find, will relieve the pressure in the alimentary canal, and WITH the manipulations would carry the activities toward a near normal force.
9. In the second week begin with these properties as an active force in the system, prepared in this manner:
10. Take as a carrier 16 ounces distilled water, add 6 ounces Wild Cherry Bark. Reduce by simmering, or slow boiling, to 8 ounces. Then add: Syrup of Sarsaparilla..................1/2 ounce, Tincture of Stillingia.................1/4 ounce,

Iodide of Potassium (10% Solution)......60 minims, Elixir of Calisaya.....................1/2 ounce. Shake this solution together before the dose is taken, and would be well that before the medicinal properties are added to the carrier, that one and one-half (1 1/2) ounces of grain alcohol be added to same as the preservative of the bark solution, or cherry pectoral, that the activities may be bettered with the system. The dose would be half a teaspoonful four times each day.
11. Keep the eliminations well. Have the manipulations at least twice each week, with at least ONE of these an adjustment DURING the general treatment. May be well, too - this would be at the discretion of the manipulator - to add the violet ray, especially over the liver and the kidney area, extending same on higher, however, than the solar plexus center and the lower liver center - see? This may be over the limbs or the extremities, in both cases - this not too severe, but applied directly to the body itself. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) This had BEST be considered by one that would give the treatments. Naturally, from that as has been indicated, and ALKALIN diet would be well, and were those of the carbonates taken, well then to keep same. This, however, should be under, or rather under the supervision of, one making the applications.
