1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer the questions I may ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Now, we find there are conditions that may be corrected in the physical forces of this body, in that the general physical conditions may be bettered throughout. (Too much medicine about - it smells!)
3. In the disturbing conditions, we find there are specific conditions that cause the distress, while the EFFECTS of same have been attempted to be accounted for rather than that PRODUCING the conditions in the body.
4. These are the conditions as we find them with this body, [5499] we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this deficient in quantity and quality, yet this in itself is not the cause of conditions existent (that apparently come from improper elements in the blood), but RATHER are these from the improper distribution through the nerve system, that prevents the blood form functioning nominally through the lymphatic circulation. Hence the irritations that are seen in various portions of the body.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, then, we find the greater distresses as are produced in this body - the causes for conditions, whether those as are seen in the apparent condition of blood, or whether those of functioning of organs of the torso, or of the sensory system. While there are other conditions that LEND themselves TO the conditions existent, but that condition has been brought about more by the combination of these, than that to which many have attributed the conditions existent in the sensory system; for we find when there is distress caused in both the cerebrospinal and sympathetic, and that there are those conditions LENDING themselves, these disturbances then multiply, becoming conditions that are caused in ANY portion

of the body, whether the functioning of organs in the body or whether that as comes as reflexes to the sensory system. In the sensory system, we refer to that portion of the body wherein deflections - from the ganglia governing those portions of the body - show reflexes from both cerebrospinal and sympathetic system; as are seen, for the eye, the ear, the nose, and the throat - ALL have their ganglia base in either the cervical or upper dorsal region, that communicate, as it were, directly to the sympathetic and cerebrospinal ganglia. Hence when those conditions as arose in the body from outside influences, where first those conditions in the throat and bronchials gave trouble, then in the nose and nasal cavity, then in the sinus region - these gradually formed hindrances in proper elimination, building up in the mucus portions of these a form of lesion, or obstruction. Then when later the nerve system - by conditions existent in the lower portion of body - became overtaxing in the nerve reflexes, the lesions as formed in the upper dorsal and in the lower cervical brought multiplied distresses to eyes, ears and throat. Hence we have continual irritation to both the ear and to the eye, through that of the connection especially to the Eustachian Tube, and to the optic nerve itself. Only irritation to the optic nerve deadening, as it were, or causing dormant reaction to the aura of the active forces in the Eustachian reaction. Hence the dull thumping, roaring at first, then gradually (apparently) hardening, or less capable of hearing. These are, then, reflexes - not direct causes as exist, though the condition EXISTENT must be taken care of also; for there are those secretions being formed that create inflammation in and about the eye in its orbit, rather than to the nerve reflex.
7. Relieve, then, the pressure as is produced in the lower cervical and upper dorsal, by deep manipulation and correct adjustments osteopathically. Also clear the lesion in and about the Eustachian Tube proper, using as an inhalant to cleanse throat and to prevent accumulation of those forces thrown off and discharged there, as this: To four (4) ounces of grain alcohol, add: Eucalyptol................20 minims, Benzoin....................5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp......5 minims, Creosote, Rectified........3 minims, Canadian Balsam............5 minims, Tolu in Solution..........30 minims.

8. Keep this in container at least twice the size of the quantity. Keep glass stopper in the container. Shake before inhaling. Inhale through nostrils, then through the lung, or through the throat - see? at lest three to four times each day, preferably just before retiring and just after arising, and - if necessary - during the evening or night, inhale, that the spittum [sputum] as thrown off will be discharged properly.
9. For the condition in the eye, use that of the scraped Irish potato. Do not use the new potato; that is, use the potato of the year previous, and scrape same and lay over the eye of evenings, and cleanse same afterward with a weak solution of Boracic Acid.
10. The adjustments osteopathically should be given at least twice each week, and at least two treatments of the Eustachian Tube.
11. The diet - keep the body well sated or satisfied, yet do not over crowd, nor be thou lacking in keeping eliminations properly. We will find that the second glasses will be the better to use when these treatments are begun. Ready for questions. (After pause) We are through.
