1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5515]. Now, as we find, there are disturbing factors in the physical functioning of the body, and while there are conditions that are specific in their affectations, the causes - as we find - are contributory in two manners. Hence there are some changes in the manner in which the indications or symptoms manifest themselves from time to time. These, as we find, have to do principally with the nervous system as a contributory cause, the digestive system as is acted upon, and injuries of two characters as are affected by, and affect contributorily to, the conditions.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5515]:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find changes materially in the metabolism, anabolism or katabolism, from time to time, produced by the characterization of disturbances as affect the body; that is, the symptoms or indications are: At times there is a quick pulse, there is some alternation in the blood pressure. These, as we find, are rather symptoms than disorders, for we find - while the blood supply carries at times those attempts to create the proper effects in same for more perfect coagulation and better eliminations - these at the low changes, or at the high changes, affect the body in that heaviness or pressure that is felt in the duodenum, and at other times in the lacteal area; at others heaviness, dull headaches at base of brain, with flushes as of dizziness in the area of the ear drums, little tingling or ringing if body arises quickly. Ordinarily, these are considered symptoms from liver disorder - but, as we will see, rather from those HIDDEN conditions, as has been given.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these we find sympathetic, and the activities both of the sympathetic nerve system and of the cerebrospinal are involved, so at times the distresses become, sympathetically, more acute. Not in that stage

where it may be termed of a neurosis, or neurotic nature, and that the body begins to pity itself. Rather is there the determination within self from mental forces that this will be thrown off! and the body ALLAYS self by not DESIRING to grumble, or to tax others with that that is seemingly of a minor nature in the disorder. At others we find, when those reactions in blood supply, in circulation, in digestive system, bring about the greater pressure, where we have an impingement and a character of congested area in the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal centers, from which an impulse, and from which we find there has been some injury to, in some times back. Then the pain becomes more severe in the stomach or diaphragm area, and is as pressure of the stomach in its attempt to empty itself, or to PRODUCE that within same as to meet the needs in the assimilating system, and is as a gnawing; for from the impulse we have an area - not as that of ulcerations or lacerations, rather as that of a hardened or thickened wall in the pyloric end, and its effects extend into the duodenum proper. This makes for a cold area in the 4th and 5th dorsal center, and another in the pit of the stomach just below or between the clavicle or the breast-bone area. In the activities of the system from this, as we see, these are reflex, and the lack of impulse or nerve centers in this has produced, or is contributory. Then, with this condition existent we find the digestion takes place slowly often when, as it were, the sluggishness occurs in the circulatory system, or there are those characterizations of food that make for the production of over acidity. The more acidity, the more pressure that is felt in this area. Hence we find specific and contributory causes of two natures, as affect the body.

5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, these are nominally very good, and we may say no ORGANIC disorder - CONTRIBUTORY causes to disturbing of the functionings of the organs.

6. As from the liver area, with the high acidity or super-acidity, this becomes sluggish and tends to make for that period of pain in the lower right side; that is, in the lower portion of the liver area, or of the end of the hepatic circulation in the area. At such times there is a disturbance with the bladder, as well as with the kidneys, though no disorder organically; functionally. We find also that at such periods when this becomes disturbed, there is that feeling of throbbing over many portions of the system, especially after severe headaches.

7. In meeting the needs of the conditions, as we would find, there may be applied that as may be termed of the magnetic

5515-1 Page 3

forces for the body, or there may be applied those of the low electrical vibration for the body, that will bring to the system those proper corrections; though, WERE the magnetic forces applied with the manipulations osteopathically given, more effective would they be with this peculiar type of condition existent. The manipulations would be along whole of the cerebrospinal system, and GRADUALLY making adjustments in the upper dorsal area - and at each treatment, it's thusly given, osteopathically: Lay the left hand on the pit of the stomach, the right hand hold over the plexus in the 4th and 5th dorsal area. This will bring relief to the body. This must be administered, however, by one PHYSICALLY well fit, virile, pure blood flowing through their system.

8. Now, in the application of the low electrical forces (if these are used), use the Radio-Active Appliance, making the larger connection first - the large plate, see - always, in the pit of the stomach. The smaller anode last, in the 4th and 5th center, that would cover that of first the right and then the left side of this plexus area.

9. For the diet and activities, well were the body to take Rochelle salts each morning for a period of three to five days at a time, a teaspoonful at the dose before breakfast, that we may CLEANSE the system thoroughly. This would be well, whether the treatment through manipulation or through the hand appliance, or the electrical appliance, is used.

10. Then, after such period, let the diet - See, we have these in periods - three to five days, then skip three to five days, then begin again - have this for at least three to four periods, see? The diets would be as this:

11. Mornings - preferably whole wheat toast, or rice muffins or cakes with little butter on same, and a CODDLED egg - and use principally the yoke, rather than the white. At this meal there may be taken a whole meal of the citrous fruit diet, changing from day to day: Oranges, lemons, grapefruit. These not alternated; that is, not two of these at one meal, but alternated. At times these may be altered to rhubarb, stewed figs, stewed raisins, or the like. These may be changed from time to time.

12. Noons - preferably the entirely green vegetable diet, these cut together and used with some sauce or mayonnaise, with Graham or whole wheat wafer or cracker. At this meal there may be taken warm or hot milk.

13. Evenings - cooked vegetables, and occasionally those that will build for new blood - as of the liver, the tripe, pig knuckles, or the like, or those that are of the blood building in the vegetables - as of cooked carrots, peas,

5515-1 Page 4

beans, lentils, lettuce, asparagus, salsify, and the like. Those of cabbage, the red cabbage only. This, necessarily, be taken in small quantities. Not a great deal of any foods.

14. For the oil or lubricants of the body, we will find best that small doses of olive oil be taken often - two, three times a day, half a teaspoonful.

15. Ready for questions.

16. (Q) Is there anyone near where the body lives that gives the magnetic osteopathic manipulations? (A) Anyone in sympathy with that that may be of particular aid for the body. There may be the massage, or the general massage over the body, and the use of the low electrical vibration in the Radio-Active Appliance - or the magnetic; but do not combine these.
