1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find there are MANY DISTURBING factors in the physical functioning of the body. These have principally to do with the eliminations, as have existed, and the effects this disturbance has produced in the system in VARIOUS ways. While the body at distress much of the time, yet the disturbances should not be thought to INDICATE the body helpless, as yet, though many will seem as to be serious.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5519], we are speaking of:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences in the organs through which the blood throws out and takes from for the enlivening and resuscitating of the physical organism itself. The blood heavy. Hence pressure, but - as WE find - not an organic heart trouble as yet - though the ORGAN ITSELF enlarged.

4. In the elements and constituents of the blood, we would find both overacid and over-dross filled.

5. IN THE NERVE SUPPLY, this we find shows the constant strain under which the body labors, and oftentimes there is the sheer WILL'S driving force that impels the body to go on. This, as we find, must be taken into consideration, would corrections be made that were to prove LASTINGLY beneficial. TEMPORARY relief may be given, but will the time be taken SOME PERMANENT relief may be had - even for one of the body's age (as called in years), and these may - changes may be made as to bring a much BETTER physical condition for the body.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, as may be surmised from the character of the disturbance, many ORGANS in their functioning are deranged, or WORK VERY much UNDER a strain.

7. Brain forces are good.

8. The sensory organism, as is seen from conditions in eyes, in the nervous system - for the sensory reactions all are under strain, and while there may be specific applications

to aid ANY or ALL of the distresses in same, the GREATER LASTING benefit will come from a CONSTITUTIONAL change. The change as would be of LASTING benefits must come in a general manner. There is no NEED for the loss of the eye, should there be taken the precautions - or the clarifying of system in such a manner as that the rest may function in a coordinating way; so that the general reactions are much bettered; though - as may be seen necessary - in giving the general ability to work under the strained conditions, local conditions must not be forgotten.

9. In the throat, bronchia and larynx - here again there are seen evidences of hardships under which the body forces the activities of same.

10. In the lungs - these are very good, though NECESSARILY - with the low blood pressure - there comes at times those of depression that only added beauty in some form is able to bring proper reactions.

11. In the heart's action - this, as seen, subnormal - but not as yet other than TEMPORARY, at TIMES, are there ORGANIC disturbances in heart.

12. In the lower digestive system we find the seat or the cause of the distresses. These, as we see, prove that there IS the poor eliminations - as call FOR the better assimilation, and that the bearing of refuse forces into the blood stream must endanger the activity of the liver, both in its excretory and secretive functioning. The system is seen, too, to indicate the acidity under which the body so often labors. This, in itself, has been the greater cause for the peristalsis, or for constipation - drying up of the mucus membranes' activity throughout the system, and through the colon especially. These, then, are to be all reckoned with in the application for that as would be beneficial.

13. The kidneys show a BETTER effect than is NORMALLY found under SUCH distresses. This most nominally caused by the LIFE the body has led respecting the organs of genitation, especially the CLEANNESS of the life as respecting those conditions that make for hardships in the organs of the lower hepatic circulation.

14. In meeting, then, the needs of the condition - FIRST it would be well for WEEKS that the body soon CHANGE the surroundings and the environmental conditions, and that in the beginning there be given those properties EXTERNALLY and INTERNALLY that will set up the ELIMINATIONS, ERADICATING the poisons from the system, both through the alimentary canal, the respiratory system, and through that of the sweat glands themselves. Then, we find that these should not be overtaxed, one against the other - else we will find that

RETRACTIONS would be severe, but begin with those first of LAXATIVES that are of the ALKALINE nature; using intestinal antiseptics with same of alkaline nature. This, as we would find, would be better in Glyco-Thymoline in small doses, and that of olive oil and of Petrolagar (alkaline Petrolagar) would be the LAXATIVE. We would apply those of the oil packs - Castor oil - OVER the LIVER, and those of the hot Epsom Salts packs over the colon. These would be given alternately.

15. Also we would have those of the sweat baths, or better still alternating these between the FUME baths - and be mindful that the temperature is not raised to such an extent as to produce too great a taxation on the heart's action. Also we would use those of the manipulations as to cause all of the ganglia throughout the cerebrospinal system to coordinate WITH that as is being set up for the eliminating of poisons from the physical system.

16. As to local conditions for eyes, for throat - we would use an antiseptic of a nature that CLEANSES the exterior portion. A weak solution of boracic acid for the eyes, and a COMBINATION of those of the changing between alkaline and acid as a mouthwash or gargle; using one period - or in the mornings - that of Listerine; in the evenings use the gargle of Glyco-Thymoline - full strength. Use as a gargle.

17. The dosage of the Glyco-Thymoline as an intestinal antiseptic would be from five to ten drops three times each day.

18. Let the diet be those of vegetables; LITTLE meats; plenty of fish or of sea foods.

19. Salt, air and sunshine, and sands, will also aid.

20. BEGIN with these, and we may assist in bringing better conditions for this body. Ready for questions. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
