1. GC: You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding this body.

2. EC: We have the body here. We have had this before, you see. Ready for questions.

3. (Q) Is there any vitamins left in the milk after boiling for 3 minutes? (A) Yes.

4. (Q) How long before he can take raw milk again? (A) That depends upon the condition of the digestive system and of the general physical condition of the body. With the use of the goats' milk, or the modifications of the raw milk with some of those foods PREPARED, the body might begin early.

5. (Q) Can he take orange juice? If so, how diluted? (A) Diluted nearly half and half. Use boiled water, however.

6. (Q) How long should the tomatoes be cooked before giving him the juice? (A) Don't cook 'em! for in tomatoes there is found the three NECESSARY vitamins for growth and for DEVELOPMENT. Hence the good use that this is for the DEVELOPMENT of the child that has the tendency to be backward in starting, as it were, in growth. The same is seen in carrots - save these are not BALANCED in the same ratio as in tomatoes - but THESE may be given in the raw state where the teeth are beginning to make their appearance. With same kept very COLD is excellent for the child to teethe or to cut through against, rubbing or using same against the gums. Only see that sufficient of the chunks or pieces are removed, so as not to cause too great a strain on the aesophagus or swallowing. These will be found, though, to be good - for only a very little may be gummed or scraped away by the teeth as seen here. With tomatoes, choose the well ripe, and strain or mash out the juice so that only the juice and little or none of the pulp or seed is taken. Very little necessary, but the necessary vitamins are taken in these two

properties, especially for a growing child. As is seen, another WELL balanced food with THIS for the child is spinach that is well cooked, with no oil or grease save butter, and this mashed until almost only the strained portions are given. This will furnish another vitamin, an iron that is excellent for the blood, especially for THIS condition existent with this child, or that of [5520]. Well too that those of the glutens be used, which will be found by rolling wheat - raw wheat, see? or mashing same, and this cooked as a gruel, and strained, seasoned - a little salt and little butter, and a very SMALL quantity of sugar. This in small quantities will be well for this individual.

7. (Q) Should he have any cooked vegetable juices? If so, HOW SOON? (A) As given, any of these as have been outlined are very good. We would NOT cook the carrots or tomatoes. We WOULD cook the spinach, or beans, lentils, or any of those that grow above the ground. The soups of these would be better - yet be sure there is very little or no grease in same. Seasoning, if any grease, would be only that of butter.

8. (Q) Should he have Zwieback? Is the unsweetened Zwieback put up by the Battle Creek Co. best for him? (A) Very good. Any of these will be well for him in small quantities. Not a great deal of any.

9. (Q) Can he take B. B. or Infant Culture? (A) Not very good at the present condition, if the other things are applied or given.

10. (Q) What should be done when his bowels become upset with diarrhea? Is soda good? (A) Depending upon what is being fed the infant at that period. If the milk and one of the foods - and for this individual we would find that there are those that are extra good for the individual, see? in the modification of the foods would be the correct way to correct the condition of diarrhea, but were the foods in small quantities used, and the fruit juices, or the vegetable juices used as given, there would be very little trouble from this source, provided it is not OVER fed.

11. (Q) When his kidneys bother him, is Citrate of Soda (a fruit salts) good for him? (A) No. Not with the other foods followed along the line as given these will not be found necessary. When THIS trouble arises, better that of the mild watermelon seed tea, or the alternate Nitre - Sweet Spirits of Nitre, in the proper proportions, dependent upon the condition as exists, see? Use Mellin's Food with this child.

12. (Q) Should he be circumcised at all? If so, at what age?

5520-2 Page 3

(A) Not NECESSARY - though the condition may arise. The sooner at the eighth day is the proper time for circumcision.

13. (Q) Is there anything to heal the place on the scalp that bothers him so? (A) This is some better, but the use of any ointment - as Cuticura is well for this condition, or there may be solutions made of various ingredients for the use with the infant scalp, this being - of course not only useful in THIS condition but with any infant where irritation occurs in the cuticle FROM the acid and overtaxed condition of the body. These would be well to keep. Prepare as this: To 2 ounces of thick cream add: Plantain (SEED only).....1/2 ounce, Mutton Tallow............1/4 ounce. Boil this together until this is well reduced of the water in same. Keep as an ointment, applying small quantity in evenings, see?

14. (Q) Is there anything he can chew to make his teeth hurry through? (A) Carrots!

15. (Q) Is there danger of his having rickets? (A) Not with plenty of vitamins given.

16. We are through for the present.
