1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5541]. In the physical forces of the body we find there HAVE been more disturbing elements than exist in the present. However, as we find, there may be added that, in the applications for the physical functioning of the body, that would better facilitate the condition, or make for better conditions later on.
2. The conditions, or disturbing forces, as we find, are of both the specific and a reflex nature, affecting the assimilation, the eliminations, and the nerve forces or energies of the body, as related to functioning portions of system.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [5541] we are speaking of, present in this room:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY - This we find somewhat below the normal in the quantity, in the pressure, in the equal balance in the corpuscles of the body. This disturbance produced by both specific conditions and reflex actions also in the system, as we shall see from the disorders in the physical functioning.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM - We find HERE both specific conditions and reflexes. Each of these have at times been mistaken for causes, when the EFFECTS were the disturbing factors; at others the effects were taken as causes when specific conditions were that that appeared as rather reflex. There are, and have been for some times back, subluxations - or pressures - existent in the cerebrospinal system. These are specific in the 8th and 9th dorsal area, affecting both the sympathetic and cerebrospinal centers that aid in DISTRIBUTION, especially reflexly through a portion of the solar plexus area to the lower portion of the body. These in the limbs, and especially in the feet, HAVE at times given distresses. These conditions are somewhat improved in the present from an establishing of a different mode or channel of circulation; for this hindering the
5541-1 Page 2
circulation through the pressure existent, there has [been] prevented the full supply of nerve energy through disturbing the circulation; hence making for, in the limbs and in the feet, that of a flabby condition of the muscular centers, especially to some portions, or in the burses of the feet. These have affected at times also in centers along the sciatic, though not so much the sciatic SPECIFIC as reflexly. This has also made for some of those distresses that in times past have disturbed the body in the lumbar area.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, and the effects that are created in the system from the varied conditions as referred to:
7. Brain forces and reactions are good.
8. In the sensory system we have reflexly, through those of the secondary cardiac plexus to the organism of the sensory system, reflexes that make for accentuations in the sensory organism at times; for at times the body can see much better than at others, at times the hearing is disturbed and again the hearing becomes acute; the same with the feelings, the taste, and the activities of the sensory system. This shows, with these changes, that these are REFLEX nature, and INVOLVED more from the SYMPATHETIC system than from the cerebrospinal or specific conditions, though these may arise at times - but with the changing of the circulation these have been aided.
9. In the throat, bronchia, lungs and larynx - in the mouth and head there are some conditions that have needed local attention long. These have been effective in producing some infection for the system that was an aided, or adding TO the disorder, but not becoming so specific has NOT been cared for as they might have!
10. Throat, bronchi and larynx show for a disturbed circulation; not organic disorder, nor have there have been other than at times, through a stimulated circulation, that that has been very good in its functionings.
11. Lungs show for conditions as HAVE existed, though they are much better in the present.
12. Heart's action shows for the difference in the circulation as has existed. As for the functioning of the organ itself, very good - though there have been periods when there was a slow pulsation; there have been others when the pressure was high and again at times when the pressure was near normal or BELOW normal.
13. In the digestive system, or the stomach area proper, we find there have existed those conditions that have been disturbing to the physical functioning. This was produced
5541-1 Page 3
sometimes BACK, those of lacerations in the lower PORTION of the stomach itself. These made, or came from over-acidity in the first - then they begun with that of regurgitation, or of the acid forming back, or coming back into the lower portion of the stomach, or to the pyloric end even itself, the pyloric orifice became inflamed at one time, then we had that of a contraction; not stricture, but a near so, through the lower PORTION of this opening, or orifice itself. This having been aided, or cleansed through those of the activities as have been used in cleansing, has produced now more of the disorder as comes from this trouble through the jejunum, or the upper portion, or that portion of the intestinal system in which portions of that digested or assimilated is carried back into the system. That that has passed through the lacteals, or that absorbing or straining portion from the system where digestion takes place, or assimilation to the blood supply in the greater portion. These having formed, then, in the form of over-acidity through the healing of those portions in the pyloric, or the pylorus, and through that of the duodenum itself, has made for rather that of a smaller area of the effective forces of the digestive juices in the duodenum, and this has made that of a nervous indigestion, rather than digestion or indigestion - a nervous indigestion, producing then to the pancreas, to the liver, to the spleen, those oftentimes - or periods - when these organs function OVER their normalcy, and throwing these properties into the system we accumulate - or this accumulation about the gall ducts, an area where there was tenderness and soreness from these conditions. These are much improved, more from the use of hydrotherapy than from any of the properties as were ever taken or applied externally.
14. In the effect that these have produced upon the hepatic circulation, or to the liver, to the kidneys:
15. The kidneys, as we find, are not NORMAL - but not, under the conditions, either are they an abnormal, though the capsules - or about the adrenal glands - show for a fullness that bespeaks that of the inflammation being attempted to be thrown or eliminated from the system through this channel. Hence producing in the circulation an incoordination in the hepatic circulation. Hence we have had less capillary circulation, or a slowed capillary circulation, and at times a high hepatic circulation, or the attempt of the system to adjust itself has created this unbalancing in the pressure created in the internal circulation.
16. Those applications as have been made for the cleansing of the system have been well. They are in order with those
5541-1 Page 4
of the corrections for the conditions, but were those subluxations and those corrections in the 8th and 9th dorsal area ALSO made, and those applications made wherein there might be a nearer balancing of the iodine content of the body, making less of the potash content for the blood supply or its effectiveness in the system, we would find there would become more elasticity to the muscular and the sinews of the system, as well as enabling the hepatic circulation to coordinate better WITH the supply in the system. These, as we find, we would not alter from the irrigations, or from the diets as have been applicable in the system, but we WOULD add to that those of a correction - though the body should be thoroughly relaxed in this area before corrections would be attempted, and with the long standing of the existent conditions in that area must of necessity be made slow. Hence there should be periods of two to three weeks treatments, or ADJUSTMENTS, when these would be rather severe; then periods of rest of at least the same amount of time. Then these made again. We would RELAX the body by the application of the salts - not salt, but salts - packs OVER that area, for at least five to ten, to twenty minutes BEFORE the manipulations and adjustments are attempted.
17. We will also find that the body would gain by those of the sand and sea bath, by WETTING the body, covering same in the sand, that would draw the iodine from the sea salt, as well as sea sand. These would be well to be taken at least three times each week.
18. Do this, and - as we would find - we will bring a NEARER, and a more active force in the physical body, [5541].
19. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Now often should the manipulations be given? (A) The ADJUSTMENTS and the manipulations at the same period, about twice to three times each week - for two to three weeks; then REST two to three weeks, but each period RELAX the body, ESPECIALLY in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th DORSAL area, with saturated solution Epsom Salts packs.
21. (Q) What causes rheumatism in right arm? (A) The effect of those acids in the system, producing the pressure in the circulation, as it attempts to be carried from the internal to the external or capillary circulation. Relieving of those pressures in the dorsal area, cleansing the system in the usual manner as has been done, with the proper diet - and often the body finds that the diet will affect the system more than those of even exterior things or conditions.
22. (Q) What is the trouble with my left bronchial tube?
5541-1 Page 5
(A) This has been given, that reflex condition through the secondary cardiac plexus which makes for the circulation as goes to the head and neck, striking the bronchial plexus in the 3rd and 4th dorsal and cervical area. THIS is a REFLEX condition, NOT a specific condition; coming from those conditions of the system as have been described. The manipulations, the corrections - and we will find these conditions will disappear. Do that.
23. (Q) Would you suggest any special one to give the adjustments? (A) One that knows how! We wouldn't take just anybody!
