Time of Reading 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: We have the body, [550] - yes. Now, we find there are SPECIFIC conditions as cause the distraughtness with the physical forces of this body. These have to do principally with the glands of the body, so that we have an over activity in some of these, and the functioning of same is directed both by physical disorder and by the conditions existent in the cerebrospinal centers. Then we have the RESULT of this disorder.
2. These, then, are the conditions to be reckoned with: In the 2nd and 4th lumbar we find SPECIFIC UNALIGNMENT. This not so much an impingement, as is rather that of the depression. So that the functioning of the glands in the digestive system become active with those of an over secretion in the thyroid and pituitaries; also the adrenal and the activity of the glands in the region of the mammary reaction. These show their effects both as to the effect this produces, as to the effect upon the rest of the system, as to disorders and activities.
3. In meeting the needs, we will find that - as WELL as the corrective measures that would eventually change the condition (and these we would correct osteopathically) - there must be due consideration given to the effects as have been created; so that the diet and those the sweats, as well as vibratory changes must be made.
4. These would be the outline for at least the first four weeks, as a diet:
5. Mornings - should be principally of fruit, or of citrous fruit particularly. Lemons, grapefruit, oranges - these may be alternated. With only that of whole wheat toast or RICE cakes - see? but no sweets. The activity of same will be to aid the elimination.
6. Of noon - may be of vegetable soup, of lettuce, asparagus, of celery, and carrots - raw.
7. Of evening - there may be taken those of lamb chops, of

fish, and OCCASIONALLY fowl. NO PASTRIES - NO SWEETS!
8. In the baths and sweats, there SHOULD be the thorough rubbing OF the body - before and after same - with salt - rough or coarse salt. The sweats should not be for such a length of period to produce exhaustion, but should be such as to decrease the amount of activity of the capillaries and produce coordination in elimination.
9. In the vibrations, use those of the plain Radio-Active Appliance, attaching same to the wrist and the ankle - ALTERNATING from one to the other each day, for just thirty minutes for the first two weeks - then it may be change to one hour each day; ALWAYS attaching the plate to the wrist first. Do that. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Does excess weight cause mental sluggishness? and how can this be remedied? (A) This is as has been explained, as to how the effect to the glands of the system cause the mental sluggishness in the activity to the pituitaries; and, as to the corrections, these - there has been given also, that there must be corrective measures in the cerebrospinal system, where pressure is produced, as well as changing the vibratory forces and causing a reduction in the excess of flesh.
11. That is all the questions.
12. Do that. We are through for the present. Copy to Mr. [119] " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
