1. EC: We have the body here. Now, the physical conditions of this body are not good. There is little resistance, and the body is taxing self too much. The conditions are complications, and will require many changes to bring about the near normal condition, not only in the applications as would be made for the physical forces, but in place of residence also changes should be made.
2. These, as we find, have to do with the many varied effects as are produced about bacilli that attacks the system itself proper, and of conditions as are brought about in the system through injury, as well as through that of a disturbed condition through the effects of these various conditions or forces as have been affecting the body.
3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, of [5554] we are speaking of:
4. The BLOOD SUPPLY shows little resistance. While the body through its mental and physical self as applied from the mental body, urges self on to act - for the body in action keeps going.
5. The NERVE FORCES of the body are taut throughout, and the body finds little rest - and that often disturbed.
6. In the physical functioning of ORGANS we find the greater distress.
7. The lungs show the effect of bacilli attacking same. Temperature arises from the breaking up of cell, and of the attempts to create resistive forces necessary to meet the needs. Hence the blood itself shows deficiency in the red, and excess in the white, and leucocyte in itself forming the character of anemia that follows from the effect of tubercular effection.
8. In the digestive system, this also is apparent in the condition as is shown with liver and spleen, being over-active through those applications as has been given, as WELL as the condition as exists in the region of the ascending colon.

9. These, then, are the disturbing forces, and an injury to the body brought about that first condition in the side - yet the effects and the detrimental forces produced the weakness in the system that aided and abetted the activity of the bacilli.
10. First we would move from the present surroundings, preferably to that of such a climate as Asheville, North Carolina. We would stay in the open as much as possible; ROUGH IT as much as possible - corn bread, buttermilk, beans. Occasionally that of liver, preferable the calf liver or beef liver, should be taken to add the VITAMINS for the system. Using also that as an inhalant of the brandy, or gases from brandy - apple brandy. Not the brandy itself, but put half a gallon in a charred container - keep this where evaporation would occur, and at least three times each day, or oftener, when there is nausea or tendency to cough, inhale DEEP into the lungs. We would also, after this condition has been assisted, have - through operative forces - the removal of that condition existent in the right side, though this body would not stand operation under the PRESENT condition; and when the body is bettered, through five to six weeks of such "roughing" and such treatments as outlined, we would give further suggestions for the full correction of this body, [5554]. Do that at present.
11. Little of the medicinal properties, other than the inhalant, or of those of codliver oil and plenty of OLIVE oil - all the body will assimilate should be taken, but the food values, much of the rough as the body can take well. Do that. We are through for the present.
