1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5560]. Now, we find there are many conditions as are disturbing and disturbed by the physical conditions existent with this body. While the basis, or the condition as itself, as may be termed, the condition is the result of the poor eliminations as have existed, and as do exist in the physical forces of the body, especially as is related to the liver and the effect the poisons as have accumulated in system bring upon the physical organism; especially as to muscular forces, nerve centers and tendons through the locomotories, and through a portion of the side itself. This, as we find, began first in a form of malaria as attacked the system, and the result was of a slow fever that the body had, but did not give in, succumb, or pay as much attention to the conditions as the body should have. This, naturally, changed the blood supply, the pressure, the heart's action, the respiration, and these - we find - are disordered in their functioning, though are not the cause; yet are at times apparently that affected most. With this change as came about, we had then that of the tendencies as from inflammation through the colon, especially - and the kidneys and the bladder not carrying off as MUCH of the refuses, or of the poisons from the system, these tended to be taken up again in the circulation, and has produced that of first a catarrhal condition, then that of the rheumatic effect; so it may be termed, then, catarrhal rheumatism from congestion in liver, as has attacked the blood supply, changed the effect of the nerve system, and brought about the general disorders in the body. The effect same has produced upon the functioning organs themselves - all are functioning under the stress and strain, which makes for an accentuation in their activity at times. As is seen, the appetite, the excretions from nose, throat, bronchials; the eyes burn, headaches, heavy feet - and the pain along the side, especially that of the left side; this coming more from that of the indigestion, and of the effect as produced in the colon itself.

2. Now, in meeting the needs of the conditions, as due to the standing of the condition, the age, as respecting the effects in the system, the ability for the recuperative forces, that that activity as will be necessary to make for resuscitation in the blood and nerve supply - this may not be expected to be accomplished in JUST a few days, or in a week or two. While, with the proper administration, within a week to three weeks we will find a great improvement, and a relief from the distresses in locomotory centers, in extremities, in the heart's action, in the ability for the body to rest easier; but the body will NOT be entirely well.
3. In making administrations, we would do as this:
4. First we would set up eliminations and drainages in the system, by first THOROUGHLY relaxing the body through those of the fume baths, as would carry those of Epsom Salts. These should be taken at least every day until two or three are taken. Be mindful that the head is kept perfectly cool and that the body temperature is not raised too high during these first two or three as may be given. Then every OTHER day, until we find the body THOROUGHLY relaxed, this requiring five to six such treatments. Then we would REST, after that - keep off the feet - until we begin with those of the liver packs of the oil as will be used over this portion of the system, until there is the reaction from same. During the periods when those of the sweats are given, we would take at least two colonic irrigations, and let the diets be - during this first period - those that are of the vegetable and of the pre-digested foods. When the liver packs are begun, we would also use those that act as an eliminant and as a solvent for that of uric acid, and of those conditions as gather in system as effects of same. This, we will find, would be in the Toris Compound - two quantities being made, one being made with the simple syrup, the other compounded with the spirits frumenti - then the two combined together, and WITH this - after this is made - we would add to the two solutions those of one-quarter ounce of syrup of rhubarb. The dose of this would be two teaspoonsful at least four times each day.
5. Keep up, then, the manipulations as will DISTRIBUTE the blood supply through the system in such a manner as to keep strain off of heart, and to remove those conditions as exist in lumbar and cervical. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) Has the body been eating properly? (A) The diet as has been, has been helpful. As WE have given, we would change - during this period - to those as have been outlined. Then we may give that as will be NECESSARY for the KEEPING of the conditions, as the

IMPROVEMENTS progress.
7. (Q) Does smoking affect the body? (A) This merely adds to the amount of drosses to be eliminated; though MODERATION in smoking - under conditions - will be helpful, rather than detrimental; but an excess will make for distresses, especially in heart's action.
8. (Q) Does any cause come from feet, especially? (A) Rather the conditions in limbs and feet come from other causes.
9. (Q) When should the manipulations begin? (A) As they are relaxing the body, before they begin with the packs.
10. (Q) How often should they be given? (A) Every day.
