1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [5563], present in this room. You will give a physical and mental reading for this body, with advice or suggestions that will help the body in all phases of her life.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [5563]. In the physical forces of the body, these are very good. There SHOULD be precautions taken, that the body-physical and the body-mental may function the nearer normal and more perfectly in accord. There are tendencies of the system to not coordinate in the eliminations. These, then, tend to produce for functioning organs such conditions as bring crosses and disturbances TO the physical functioning, which at times brings to the mental body those of distortions in the manner of physical AND mental reaction to condition. The body, then, should be mindful that these eliminating centers are not STIMULATED in the sense of using stimuli of any nature for the reaction of same, but rather that the assimilations of the system are such that the eliminations are KEPT normal. These, as we find, may be best accomplished through the activities of the mental body, aided by applications physically that WILL bring the COORDINATION of the respiratory system, the alimentary canal, the perspiration glands, and the deeper breathing. All have their part. Physically, then, we would take those of the sweats sufficiently often that the stimuli to the capillary circulation is such that drosses are not forced through other PORTIONS of the system, and that these may be eliminated nearer the normal. This will aid in keeping the proper weight, or proper balance in the system. The applications of same must be made with the mental attitude of the body to self and to others. Not as of centralizing thought in one direction, so that when there come mental distortions through physical reactions that there is the
5563-1 Page 2
activity of the mental in the same distortion or manner, but rather that the filling of the mental body with thought and activity that brings the greater distribution of activities TO the mental body. This may be illustrated in a manner in which the body itself may comprehend or understand. There are periods when, in the giving of self's endeavors to all about self, brings a satisfaction and a gratitude from others whom the body contacts, that makes for such an elation from within as to be at times almost overpowering, and then there comes reactions when the body feels that NOTHING attempted is proper. The little things said by others, that seem to be naught to them, stabs, hurts, and produces for the body that of retort that brings DETRIMENTAL reactions, and the body hates self, and dislikes the surrounding effect of conditions.
3. In the application, then, of mental self - would be in the manner to so fill self's time, self's mental forces, with that as may be accomplished - in the word, in the deed - that the body will CONTINUE in finding self satisfied in DOING for others; and he that aideth, he that helpeth one, is LENDING to the Lord. Keep THAT ever before self, and there will come a peace that has not been felt.
4. Put self rather, then, in the hands, in the mind, of the DIVINE from within, and not attempting, not TRYING to be good, to be kind, to be thoughtful - but just BE, and CONSECRATE self to the service of others. This peace, this quietness that will come within self from such, will find a ready answer in the mind, in the heart, in the life, in the expression of those - every one - whom the body contacts. THIS is LIVING consecration, and not attempting to be moral for moral's sake; not attempting to be good that good may come, but be good that there may be that peace, that understanding, that only comes from putting self in the hands of the divine. Study, then, portions - ANY portion - of the words of Him that gave that, "That ye ask in my name, BELIEVING, that shall ye have within yourself". Do not, then, in asking, make conditions, but surrender self unconditionally into the hands of the divine from within, and that from within shall answer - even as was said, "My spirit beareth witness with your spirit that ye are called the sons, the daughters, of the LIVING God", for in Him only is that peace, and the blessings of those whom the body CONTACTS will bring the greater joy, the greater happiness. Happiness, then, is not a thing set apart from self, but the conditions with which one approaches that in hand to be DONE! for when one considers that the position of self is hard to bear, is not as is desired, the desire of the heart
5563-1 Page 3
often maketh one AFRAID - unless that desire is ever in that attitude of "USE ME, O God, as I am", for the I AM is ready, willing, to make MY will ONE with THY WILL - "Though He slay me, though He bruise me in mine own selfish or unseen ways; yet will I trust Him day by day", and He will NOT forsake thee; neither will He allow thee to be afraid; for He will raise thee up, and He understands all the hardships, the LITTLE things, the separations, the variations in the surroundings - but TRUST Him!
5. In this manner may the body, the mental body, the physical body, allow the spirit of Truth, peace, joy, understanding, come in and make for self, for those dependent upon self, mentally and physically, whole and strong - and able and capable of meeting every issue of EVERY day. Ready for questions.
6. (Q) How can body approach her daughter, [5562] without annoying her? (A) In the meekness of truth; not as coddling, not as pitying, but rather in the STRENGTH of doing that as will enable the body, the daughter, to understand the strength that is within self, and the application of self to same.
7. (Q) What causes the dry scalp, and what will help same? (A) The sweats. This the lack of the proper eliminations through the capillary circulation, and this will aid in correcting this, as OTHER disorders, through the circulation.
8. (Q) Should body try to reduce? If so, how? What should be the weight? (A) This as given will bring these about, and the proper weight will be reached in six to ten weeks, will this be carried properly, and will NOT be detrimental TO the body; letting the diet be in accord with that being attempted. Not in the manner that any SPECIFIC things should be considered, but that rather a whole, well-rounded, well balanced diet is kept in accord with that being done; for to bring through this channel the activities of the system, becomes accentuated - then to over eat, or to over REST, will only ADD avoirdupois; but keep a well-rounded, a well balanced life, in physical exercise, in physical rest, and in mental application.
9. (Q) How often may the baths be taken? (A) Twice each week.
10. (Q) Inasmuch as it has taken longer to cure her daughter [5562] than was at first anticipated, advise the body how she and her husband can take care of this matter financially. (A) Prepare self in the manner outlined, placing self in the hands of those forces - call them circumstances, call
5563-1 Page 4
them what one will or may, it is the power of God - His is the All Force. Believest thou that thou livest in the midst of the Father? Then act that way. Never has there been seen one that wholly trusted in God at want, nor their seed begging bread.
