1. EC: Yes (This body should have a life reading!), we have the body here, [5570]. Now, we find there are conditions as produce disorders in the physical forces of the body, that at times apparently defy, or are hard to cope with. At times the body feels almost normal and well again. Then seemingly without warnings there is the return of those exhaustions, nervous debility, an over amount of nerve vexation, easily irritated, pains through the body in various portions, heaviness in the limbs, and as an almost collapse.

2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [5570], we are speaking of:

3. In the BLOOD SUPPLY - this we find nominally very good in most respects. At times, intervals or periods, we find an altered condition in the blood pressure, a quick heart action; at others a slow heart action.

4. In the NERVOUS SYSTEM, or systems, do WE find the greater distresses. While the relaxations and the adjustments in relieving pressures along the spine have often the desired effect, to REMAIN - or to KEEP same - this is that which brings the distresses. These conditions WE find to exist: In the present period changes are coming about in the physical forces of the body, an alteration in the character and manner of eliminations in the system. This produces a fullness in the lumbar and sacral regions, with the organs of elimination, with the organs of the pelvis, that makes for nervous irritation, and the body in attempting to ADJUST itself finds these conditions, or this irritation, as an AGGRAVATING condition to the cerebrospinal, and MOSTLY to the sympathetic nerve system, THROUGH the action of the cerebrospinal nerves, especially in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lumbar, and in the sacral region. In the reactions from these to the body, we find these produce distresses through the digestive system occasionally. More often does it give that fullness in the locomotion, or locomotaries, that makes for distress through the small of the back, through the

5570-1 Page 2

sides, the lower limbs, tendency of feeling fullness and tiredness in the feet, the limbs, especially if there's an over-activity or an under-activity these may occur in varied forms.

5. In the ORGANS of the body - Brain forces good. A natural inclination, from experience, to be a leader, and one that is VERY particular as to system, and systematic activities (for the body was a soldier often).

6. In the organs of the sensory system, THROUGH the sympathetic disturbance as from pelvis and lumbars, we find these make for fullness in throat at times, irritation to the organs of the sensory system, over-sensitive, and as the body is inclined to be especially sympathetic in INTUITIVE natures - that is, where sympathy is aroused in individuals, or groups - the sympathy of the body, WITH its intuitive forces, tends to make a full activity in that direction, giving the body especial activities in that direction.

7. In the lungs, bronchial, larynx - this occurs from this same reflex force at times; not as so much causing DISORDERS as being AGGRAVATING TO the body, in feeling that it exists and not just know where, or how it affects the system!

8. Heart's action, as given.

9. In the digestive system, we find there are PERIODS of disorders in this direction, but not that as may be termed even chronic, or even SYMPATHETIC; rather REFLEX conditions.

10. The eliminations as for the alimentary canal have often given the body troubles. These are bettered, yet the conditions return, producing an acidity for the lower portion, especially in the colon. Here we find there is a TENDENCY for prolapsus in the descending colon; not a full prolapsus, but a tendency in that direction.

11. Then, in meeting the needs of the conditions, and in making these - as we find - more of a direct activity, so that the RESPONSES are more sure:

12. We would not change from the manipulative forces, or the activities towards the corrections in that direction; rather would we change the MANNER of the application of same, and add to these those of properties taken internally that may act WITH that as is administered for the correction of the nerve forces and their reflex action to the organs of the body. We would give DEEPER manipulations in the LUMBAR and sacral region, and RELAX same before this manipulation and adjustment is given (in lumbar and sacral region) with those of hot wet packs; not just apply electrical forces or vibrations, but apply hot packs along the lumbar and sacral region, and THEN give the manipulations and adjustments following same. These we would do at least ONCE each week;

that is, the hot packs. We wouldn't alter the periods in taking the treatments otherwise.

13. We would take internally that prepared as this:

14. To 4 ounces of simple syrup, add: Tincture of Valerian...................1 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya...................1/2 ounce, 10% Solution Iodide of Potassium......10 minims, 10% Solution Bromide of Potassium.....20 minims, Tincture of Capsici....................3 minims. Shake solution together before the dosage is taken. Take this particularly when there are those dull, achy reactions over the system. In these periods it may be taken every two to three hours, half a teaspoonful in a little water, or taken and followed with water. At other periods we would take it about three times, or four times each day - see?

15. We would, at least once each week, also use those vibrations of the Infra Red Ray. This we would apply particularly to the solar plexus center, for about thirty minutes, at a distance from the body of at least thirty to thirty-six inches.

16. Do that. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) What is holding me back? (A) This is as has been described, that inability to make the perfect coordination between the eliminating systems with the changes as have come over the body. See? These are natural conditions.
