1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5575]. Now, we find there are conditions that are abnormal to this body. These conditions have to do with the effect as created by specific conditions, as WELL as those conditions that disturb the functioning of organs.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5575] we are speaking of. First:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this shows the effects as have been created in the system, and as to how this effect has affected the bloodstream in relationship to temperatures as created. While near normal in pressure, near normal in temperature, the pulsation - yet indicates the disturbance as has existed there, as does also the respirations, and the respiratory system.

4. The constituents or elements of the bloodstream itself show the effect and the over numbers of white plasm and white cell as has been created to meet the needs of the conditions.

5. As to the causes, these are to be described in the disturbance of the functioning organs.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here we find also evidences of the taxation to which the body has gone in its overtaxing of the nerve system. The strain as produced ON this has weakened the vitality of the body. The energies of the system have been put to extreme measures to meet the needs of the body, and such a strain has depleted the physical, the whole STRENGTH of the body.

7. The specific centers as have shown, and as do at present show the strain, and as are in a state where there is attention needed, are those of the 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal plexus, for the radial centers from these show how the body has suffered; first from nervous indigestion, by overtaxing self; the fullness as created in the circulatory system, attempting to meet the needs of the condition, show this to

5575-1 Page 2

have been the seat or the cause of the troubles. The body better from that it has been, yet needs rest and attention of specific natures to meet the needs of conditions.

8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, brain forces very good.

9. The organs of the sensory system; that is, the eyes, the ears, the sense of feeling, have become accentuated, and at other times depleted, both from specific conditions existent in the nerve centers, as were strained, and also irritations produced by poor eliminations from the system of used forces, or of drosses in the system.

10. The throat and the lungs also show effect of the temperature, also of those conditions as have been produced by the pressure to which the upper portion of the system has been put by an overtaxed brain, an overtaxed heart, an overtaxed digestion. Not that of ORGANIC conditions, but rather those of functional, produced by strain in a physical functioning organism.

11. The heart's action itself, good - considering the strain to which it has been put. The normal pressure is indicated by the varied condition existent in the respiratory system, and the body attempting to adjust itself UNDER strain.

12. The stomach and digestive system - here we find, again, evidences of a disturbance through that strain under which the body has labored, as respecting this nervous indigestion, until - in the cardiac end of stomach, lacerations have, DO exist. These have not reached that condition where they may not be attended to. This the cause of the nausea as has existed, the inability for foods to at times begin proper assimilation, tendency to be sure of an over-acidity in the stomach, also the strain as produced on liver to produce that necessary for the digestive system to be able to so act as to make for the system that which will build or assimilate in such a manner as to restrain, or to entertain, even, the replenishing or the resuscitation of life-GIVING forces in all portions of the system. The liver's inactivity accentuated by the attempts to over-stimulate the secretions of same, when - from the cerebrospinal plexus - there is not sufficient of the incentive from nerve system to produce even a tendency towards a normal action. Hence we find the secretions of the digestive system are so taxed that soreness occurs through the jejunum, or the upper intestines; the kidneys act in an abnormal manner, and there is evidence of same in the excretions from the system. An improper activity of the digestive forces as related to the foods acted upon by the juices from pancreas, liver, lacteals, and spleen, for the proper assimilation.

13. In the meeting, then, of the needs of this body, [5575], we are speaking of, we would first give REST necessary, where as little disturbance as is possible may be had, and the reduction of those conditions existent in the cerebrospinal centers by the gentle (firstly) manipulations of longer than ordinary duration; that is, let it be in such a manner that the reaction is not severe to the system, as to upset the nerve tensions of the body.

14. Giving those foods that will respond to the conditions in system, so that the digestion has the opportunity to resuscitate itself from the food values that are predigested for the body, until the body can adjust itself. Three to four weeks should be taken by the body, else we may find the CONTINUED reaction of the acids, and the lacerations turning to ulcerations, and from ulcerations to those of the character that are form-building in themselves; but, with proper rest, with the proper manipulation, letting all of the water as is taken carry small quantities, alternatively, of elm and of chalk and magnesia. We will find the system responding. Then, after a rest of three to six days, with these characters of food values, we would begin with the stimuli of electrical vibration that will assist the blood and nerve energy to a normalcy for the body. Do that. The CHARACTERS of foods should be: This as a sample only:

15. Of mornings, those of dry milk, of prune juice, or prune whip, or gruel, with possibly those of rice cakes. No stimuli of coffee or tea at such a time. Milk - not too rich in fats - may be taken.

16. Of noon, or lunch meals, those of beef JUICE - not broths, even, at first - but rather those that will build for the system WITHOUT producing a taxation for the digestive system. With same may be taken those of the vegetables that are WHOLLY alkaline in reaction - but not with too much starch.

17. In the evenings, broths may be given - also there may be milk that is digestible for the body, and those of sugars in a MILD way - especially those that will PRODUCE for the system those of grape sugars, changing the character of the acids as are taken, so that the system will respond to the manipulations, RESTING the stomach, CHANGING the respiration; and at least each evening we would massage the spine THOROUGHLY with those of equal portions of tincture of myrrh, of olive oil, and of sassafras oil. Heat the olive oil, adding the myrrh and sassafras oil. Massaging this especially across the LUMBAR regions, that we may relieve the strain on the lower portion of the body and build up for the vital forces of the nerve plexuses that stimuli

necessary for its proper reaction in the system. Ready for questions.

18. (Q) Should the body go to Dr. Freidenwald in Baltimore for stomach treatments? (A) If it chooses! We have given what will correct it. This would only mean another change. This as we have given will correct. Do as he likes! WE are through. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital
