This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 7th day of June, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [5602], via his employer, Mr. [3752].

R E A D I N G

1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [5602], present in this room. You will give a physical, mental, financial and business reading for this body, with suggestions for the improvement of same. You will answer any questions I ask you regarding any of these.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [5602], present in this room; also the associations, relations, with this body.
3. In the physical forces of the body, we find there are conditions rather of which the body should take cognizance, and being warned should be forearmed; for while the body-physical is very good in many respects, there are conditions - especially as have to do with effects as are being gradually builded in the system, as respecting the character of that assimilated in the system, so that the lower hepatic circulation, the kidneys, and those of the pancreas and spleen in their functioning - both as to the creation of the character of that as is to be assimilated and the effect same is producing in the system as related to the circulation, as related to the elimination, as related to the EFFECT same produces upon the heart's action. Though not organic conditions at present, these may - or any of them - BECOME organic, unless the functioning of the organ itself is so attuned, through the varied changes as may be brought about by the changes for the conditions in system, to restore NORMALCY in their functioning. With the restoring of normalcy, the effects as are created in other portions of the body will be then aided and brought to a near normal functioning.
4. As WE would find, these would be the proper conditions to be taken as internal applications - also this as external applications - for the physical conditions of the body:
5. First, we would prepare two quantities, or two ounces each - separate - of Toris Compound, one with that of the simple syrup and the other of the Spirits Frumenti. When these are taken, they should be altered in their dosage;

that is, the dessertspoonful - or two teaspoonfuls - as would be taken in the morning - one would be with that of the syrup, while that in the evening would be with that of the Spirits Frumenti, see? We would take at least four quantities of these properties. This is for the ELIMINATIONS in the system.
6. Then we would have prepared those properties known as clary water. This would be taken in THIS manner: Each meal - half an hour before the meals - take a teaspoonful, see? each meal that is eaten. Though the body has been on a diet in some respects, these may be altered somewhat when these properties are taken in the system to change the eliminations; though sugars, white - or the breads with too much gluten - should not be taken; neither should there be too much of red meats, though the JUICES of same will be found WELL for the body. Those of fish, those of the sea foods are especially good.
7. The body should be in the open as much as possible. Not too strenuous exercise, but sufficient that the whole organism of the body is affected by the exercise; that is, such exercise - whether as of specific in mornings and evenings, or outdoors - as golf, or riding, or rowing, or swimming, or such - that requires the use of all the muscular forces of the system. These should be taken by the body. Not too strenuous, but sufficient to keep these active with those conditions as will be changed in the vibratory forces of the body.
8. Following such, to be sure - that is, such treatments - or such exercise - the body should be rubbed down thoroughly, and a gentle massage - either osteopathically or neuropathically, or SWEDISH massage - given ALL OVER the body, that the distribution of the changes in the vibratory forces of the body, as well as the circulatory system, should be stimulated throughout. We will find this will aid much that condition as has been seen in feet, as well as that which has been in head and neck, and throat. These will be aided by these changes, for these are effects - NOT CAUSES - in the system.
9. As to the mental body, this is very good. Many changes, many alterations, in the manner of thinking, the manner of application of that as tenets or ideals of the body. These have been altered and changed in the activities of the body. Some of these have been for good. Some of these have been for consternation, or worriments for the body. These should be that with the ideals, MAKE that such as will ever be that which LIFTS up, LOOKS up, SOUGHT for, but ever BEYOND the grasp wholly. Being content with that had in hand; NOT

satisfied, not wholly for selfish gratifications, but not for that of aggrandizement of selfish interests; but in keeping with that as has been held - especially in youth BY the body - as its ideals. Ready for questions.
10. (Q) Any advice regarding business or financial activities and conditions? (A) As is given, the body's mental abilities are efficient - and sufficient - in this direction, are the IDEALS and the innate POLICIES OF the body adhered to. The CONSTERNATION, or changes that have been wrought in the financial situations, financial relations, have been - as the body well knows - by the change, or the listening to policies of others. While, do not become so engrossed in self as to lord self's abilities; yet be of sufficient stability in the application of that held within self, as to be able to handle or carry same through. THESE will be in keeping with that to which the body physically, the body mentally, the body spiritually, may attain. Attaining or using that in hand, one becomes able, capable, efficient in using that as may be LENT; for that of EARTHLY goods is LENDED to an individual to apply in the service of that WHATSOEVER a body may worship.
