1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [5616], present in this room, and his physical, domestic, mental and financial relations. You will answer the questions I will ask you regarding these.
2. EC: We have the body, the enquiring mind, [5616], present in this room. In these various relations and the mental application of self to same, there are many problems that present themselves to this body. First and foremost should be that of the physical, that the body-physical may have the better channel through which the mental and spiritual may manifest, that the material conditions relating to same may be nearer in accord with that the body would build for itself in the mental and material world. There are many of the problems also that require much of the spiritual aspect in the interpretation of the actions the body would take for the better understanding and the better application of self toward such things. Now these are conditions as we find them, physically, with this body, that the body should be mindful of. While the body physically is very good in many respects, yet - as is known to the body - all work and no play will eventually wear the physical, or so warp the MENTAL into those channels that the best may NOT be given, either in the mental way or in the physical, and the application of same then comes to naught.
3. In the physical forces of the body of [5616], there are strains on the body that so affect the physical functionings that the organs respond in too high a tension. Such as is seen in the blood supply of the system, which is full - strong, even rich in its elements and in the various portions of its functioning; yet some of the mental strains have been so overtaxing, and some of the physical taxation so nerve racking as to allow for the TEMPORARY over-activity in the pressure as is produced in the heart's action. Not an organic condition; PURELY that of nerve tension, with an unbalanced equilibrium in the activity of the eliminations
5616-1 Page 2
as are set forth in the system. While the eliminations are in ONE manner very good, yet they do not COORDINATE in their PROPER way and manner. Hence we find the restlessness is at times a tendency of the inactivity of the eliminations as would come through a nominal or normal activity of the hepatic circulation. Hence the liver in its functioning - in attempting to adjust the condition - PUMPS, as it were, to the system, that of such a fullness as to cause high pressure in the upper portion of system. This, as understood, were it to remain for a great length of time, would produce such a condition of plethora - even in the modified form as existent with this body of [5616] - increasing so much as to cause then ORGANIC disturbance, either of the upper hepatic circulation; that is, the liver, with the spleen and its activity to heart's action, or so increase the activity of the heart ITSELF as to be detrimental and produce smothering spells, followed in THIS case by asthmatic tendencies; for the plexus involved in the nerve system is that of the secondary cardiac, or that as associated from the 4th and 5th dorsal plexus. Hence those fullnesses as occur to the head, with the dizziness, and the fullness in throat.
4. To meet the needs of the conditions, and to bring about the more normal would be for the body to - in common parlance - take things, conditions, both mental and physical, in not quite such a high tension, or RELAX self more thoroughly. Not by sedatives, not by medicinal properties that would hinder some other functioning of the system. Rather by those of relaxations in the open, in the sunshine, in relaxation from mental worries, and of EXERCISE ESPECIALLY of that that would cause the nearer equalizing of the circulation, both nerve and blood supply, between the head and the trunk and the lower limbs; exercising then in the open, as in horseback riding, swimming, walking - ANY of these are well, and after such an exercise be thoroughly rubbed down, after taking a hot bath - preferably shower, and rubbed down thoroughly - especially along the cerebrospinal system; OCCASIONALLY applying the vibratory forces of the Violet Ray over the system, with the gentle massage - as would be the Swedish massage, or those of that nature. In this way and manner may the body find the near normal forces for the physical functioning.
5. As to the other relations, as we find, these are to be met as they present themselves in the different ways and manners; yet the body must keep itself physically fit, would the mental and the spiritual manifest that best for ITS spiritual, mental, and physical development. Ready for

questions.
6. (Q) Is my present blood pressure a temporary condition - can it be sufficiently lowered that I will be able to obtain additional life insurance and from what company? What can I do for this condition? (A) This, as has been given, is of a temporary nature, provided conditions are not aggravated by the continued and persistent taxation of the system to produce a still GREATER unbalancing of the circulation, as related to the central nerve system, the digestive system, and the metabolism and katabolism of the body. As to receiving an increase in this, the physical condition may be soon brought to that position where there should not be any hindrance in the body obtaining additional insurance. WE would give, to the Penn-Mutual.
7. (Q) For how long, and where, should I take a rest? (A) Where there is plenty of sunshine, open air, and the ABILITIES and facilities of keeping out of doors. Such as would be found at the present time in ANY of the southern and eastern places where such resorts are given for such rests. Mountain Crest [Mountain Rest], Hillsdale, Tate Springs, Asheville, Virginia Beach - any of these places offer the facilities of both air surroundings and the proper LIVING conditions for the body, [5616].
8. (Q) What is the difficulty with my ears - may conditions be improved, and how? Will flying help? (A) Relieve the pressure as is produced on the central nerve system from that condition existent in the 4th and 5th dorsal centers, and we will relieve the pressure as is produced in the central portion of the sensory system as governs the auditory nerves. That's why the condition would be asthmatic in its reaction were it allowed to be kept up at this tension. The relieving of same by the exercise and by the RUBBING will bring about normal pressure, and with the relieving of pressure there comes the NOMINAL reaction to the sensory system, to the nervous system in its central action, and to the whole eliminations of the body. These would assist even more than flying, though flying would not be detrimental to the body - but not assist in this direction. Only by removing the pressure. By the flying the pressure is removed in a manner. Hence would momentarily be helpful, but remove the pressure from the BODY - as is produced - and in ANY altitude the body's reaction will adjust itself to normality.
9. (Q) Are present slightly strained relations with my wife serious? Are they my fault? What can I do to make relationship closer?
5616-1 Page 4
(A) They are rather of the TEMPORARY nature, would EACH be willing to put the other and the other's interest first. The relations are of each one's making, and for them to become for the better for each, each must be willing to give and take. What would be the actions then of self as respecting this? Make this KNOWN to the wife, in such a way and manner, by word and by action, that it is KNOWN TO the body that the intents are to act that way. It is one thing to say a thing and another thing to act like one meant it.
10. (Q) Will my personal financial condition improve - when - how can I quickly lessen within reason the load of personal debts - should I try to make money outside of ... Co? If so, how? (A) This condition in itself opens many of the troublesome things to the body, both physical and mental, as well as filial relations. While they in the various phases present that which the body in ITSELF would at times deny, yet in the background these are ever present in the mental, in the physical, and in the social relations. There are many fields through which the body - with its abilities - may add that of financial gain. The assumed obligations, the assumed financial relations, while they present at times a burden to the body, MENTALLY (necessarily physically), yet these are not of such a nature, other than they often keep the better balance for the body's material and the body's mental development. Do not make haste other than slowly in gaining the perfect understanding of the purpose of life in this mundane sphere; for while it should be the IDEAL of every individual to succeed - and gain in understanding in the relationship of self with individuals - fame and fortune often take wings unless same are the RESULT and not the END of a life spent in understanding what life's all about! There are coming to the body mentally and physically, from day to day, opportunities through which there might be gains made in material sense, quickly - yet these are not all of such a nature as to even be appealing to the sensibilities of the body; but do not pass all of these up without due consideration. We FIND there will be presented, in the week of May the 15th to the 22nd, an opportunity through which the body may assist self financially and materially in a way and manner that there is not a question mark after same. Do not so act in ANY manner - even though the burden may appear heavy - that the self's own conscience is questioning self. These, then, would be the better opportunities for the body. These relations with ... Company are good. The surroundings are of such a nature that all are in MANY ways, even other than PHYSICALLY, aided in an understanding of self. These
5616-1 Page 5
opportunities may be either turned into channels through the same sources, or be kept separate. This the body ITSELF should decide, as to whether they may be made one or kept apart. There will not be fault, or faulty activities by the body in either direction, when these are presented. These are from channels that the body is mindful OF at present, yet these are not even thought seriously of at the present. May 15th - 22nd - 1929. Do not speculate.
11. (Q) Will ... Co. prosper this year - will our earnings be less or more than last year - will we merge with any other company? If so, who and when? (A) There will be the increase in the present year of forty-eight percent (48%) over the earnings of last. As to mergers, this in the latter part of present year or first of next may be the better for all concerned. There are too many changes as may come for this to be definitely given here at present. How do we arrive at the 48% increase in the company's earnings at the present time? From the outlays already, and from those things that are set in motion as to bring these about, for the various expansions as are coming! THESE show as to what they will add - for some give forty, some sixty, and some an hundred fold in their reaction.
12. (Q) Will I remain in charge of sales for ... Co? Am I working to best advantage of the company? Shall I have an assistant and what can I do to improve the sales? (A) The body SHOULD remain in ACTIVE capacity of salesman and of sales forces. The body WILL remain in active capacity of the sales forces, even with mergers and with changes. Selecting those in the various fields of contact and endeavor in such a way and manner that that being presented for service to others is of such merit as to receive the proper consideration; using such tactics in sales management, sales talk, sales association - whether as for self or for assistant, that may come to the aid of the body, will be the proper channels for the body [5616] to pursue. Remembering the results as must be attained should be that of the natural (and they will be!) result of that which is attempted, and not the END - unless the end be in opposition to that as has been presented for the body. We are through for the present. Copy to Hospital
