1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5626]. Now, we find there are conditions as are disturbing in the physical forces of this body that may be corrected, and give the better physical functioning and more ease to the body. These disturbances, in general, have to do with the eliminations and the effects as are produced by this disturbance in the circulation, and of the drosses as are left in system through these disturbances. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5626] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:
2. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of the disturbances, both as to the character of the elimination disturbed, also of the character of the blood disturbance in its circulation. The insufficient amount of the red blood and the overtaxing of the leucocyte or white blood supply, and the plasm that produces proper coagulation insufficient. Hence we find in extremities, in centers where the locomotaries - both for the lower limbs and for the extremities in the upper portion, or those of the brachial forces - the pressures as indicated in these directions leave for those centers such disturbance as to produce the inactivity of these portions of system, through pressure as caused on nerve centers that disturb the circulation in both carrying to and taking from these extremities that necessary to keep a normal balance between the locomotion and incentive or locomotion in the system. Not, yet, as the form of that as comes from eating away of nerve tissue, or of the destruction of a plexus as would produce hardening, or producing brittle conditions in the nerve ends, but rather that of the pressure nature, that deflects and prevents the normal impulse from operating through the extremities. These conditions, to be sure, are effects - not causes - of the disturbances.
3. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here, again, we find effect of
5626-1 Page 2
disturbances as produce in the system much of that in the EXTREMITIES of the forces in nerve supply, as has been given, but the CAUSES of these are seen more in this relation, for when disturbances of the nature that cause - through improper eliminations - in nerve centers or plexus, or ganglia, that of a pressure in the form of serum in the lymphatics, to form sacs, or pressures along any ganglia - as seen in the lower sacral and in the lumbar, and in the first of the dorsals - these, we know, have then a deeper seated condition from which this disturbance has received its incentive, and the system attempting to eliminate same, gathers same in these forms that produce these disturbances.
4. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in brain forces, very good.
5. In the activities of the upper portion of the sensory system, in THEMSELVES these functional nominally - but from the impulse region between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal, in the upper brachial and in the lower portion of the cervicals, these find disturbances - and we find an irritation at times, as we find for all organs of the sensory system, accentuating their activity, or the body at times can see or hear better than normal, yet at other times these are disturbing factors. The same as is seen in the conditions in the throat and bronchia. These come from purely reflex conditions, and when the lymphatic circulation picks up those poisons that should be eliminated through nominal channels, these produce irritation - the throat becomes dry easily, or there is the opposite effect and too much of the spittum is ready to be thrown off, tending to cleanse the throat by either that of swallowing or that of cleansing through the act of CLEARING same.
6. In those of the lungs, the RESPIRATORY circulation below normal, and well may it be. While we have no organic disturbances, these do produce at times a pressure above the diaphragm, through the heart's action, in a disturbed circulation to the extent that we have a FULLNESS there. Not organic, purely reflex.
7. In the digestive system we find much of the cause or the seats of the trouble. Not so much in the stomach PROPER as in the upper intestinal disturbance. Those of the liver, the pancreas, the duodenum, the glands about the lacteal - these find distresses through an overacid condition that existed from a long period, the tendency of the constipation that brought about those disturbances through the whole system. Then, gradually building into the system that condition existent in liver and in the right side, these brought such disturbances as gradually brought, first a cold
5626-1 Page 3
hepatic circulation, a slowing up, a disturbance in - as years ago, for this body - a slow temperature, a condition bordering on that of malarial condition. This disturbance cleared up, and then it was shown in the bladder and kidneys - which caused some irritation. Then we had a general debilitation throughout the system, with those of the form of the neurasthenia in the system, the tiredness, the dullness, the roaring in head, the tendency of the body to be stiff in joints, limbs. These are reflexes from these same conditions.
8. Now, to meet the needs of the condition of the body at the present time, these would have been much better taken earlier, but these may be assisted - that we may come back to the near NORMAL functioning of the system.
9. First we must look to that of the eliminations, as they affect primarily the blood supply. There must also be that which will aid the blood supply to be builded wherein the balance between the red blood and the white blood, the rebuilding, the replenishing, those of the hepatic circulation, may be in a nearer normal force, without irritation producing distress in any of the organs that are affected by these changes in the vibrations created.
10. We would, then, begin with those corrections, osteopathically, of the centers particularly in the lumbar, sacral, and coccyx region. As these are begun, in that manner of making those corrections, gentle massage - and then heat, and then the correction. The corrections should be made at least once each week. The massage should be at least every other day. The heat should only be applied when the corrections are to be made.
11. Then, we would change the electrical vibratory rate of the system, by the application of those forces as would be found in the wet battery appliance, carrying in same that of at least a pound of tincture of Iodine, charged sufficient to create a different vibration in the system; applying same to the body in this manner: First pole or anode attached should be to the 2nd DORSAL - DORSAL - 2nd dorsal. That of the negative or larger plate being attached to the umbilicus, just above and to the right of same. These we would apply once each day, for at least one-half hour in the beginning. As these are changed in vibration to where we have a more normal activity from the liver, and the stress on the kidneys are relieved, we would then first - following these changes - first cleanse the colon, and then begin with the changed vibration of the Chloride of Gold to the system, that we may strengthen all of the glands that affect genitation [genitalia?], and that affect the body throughout
5626-1 Page 4
as related to the white and gray matter in nerve and brain force. Applying same directly to the base of brain in the first anode, or smaller - and the larger one to the lower and left side of umbilicus. This would NOT be given until after changes had been made with the first vibratory forces.
12. Keeping at ALL times while these treatments are being applied, those of the manipulations NECESSARY to keep same BALANCED properly in the system.
13. The diet - which shall be looked after closely - should be those of the easily digested foods - those that carry an alkalin reaction for the system - BALANCING same through those that will create more of those of the phosphorus in the system. These would be changed, then, to those of the foods that carry same, and those that build nerve and blood energy for the body. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What will relieve the sciatic condition? (A) Relieving the pressures as exist in the lumbar and sacral will relieve the pressure there and give the better application to the system, but to remove the pressure and not build the system as has been given, throughout, both for the upper and lower portions, we would only transfer those of the pressures created by the poisons and strains as have and as exist in this body, [5626] we are speaking of.
15. (Q) Can anything be done for the varicose veins? (A) When we remove the pressure on the system, wherein the blood and the nerve energy throughout the body are brought to a nearer normal equilibrium. That is why, as is given, that - as the applications are given for the corrections of the condition - the massage AND the adjustments MUST be kept in accord, so that all pressure and all strain is removed from the system. As the body rests, as these applications are made, we will find these distresses being removed. DO that.
