Time of Reading San Saba County, 3:00 P. M. ..., Texas.

1. LS: In a previous reading [See 5628-1 and [4972] series] you gave a location West of North of the well that was drilled on J. W. Burns' land as a good place for another well. You will now give specifically the best location South and East of the Burns' well for drilling.

2. EC: You wouldn't go South and East. Would going to the South and East encounter all oil strata, but rather in that of the line or passage oil as is seen, and is of the migratory type being that comes closer to the surface, yet would be not of the constant flow, but rather giving of small flow for hours, then again increasing, but decreasing, causing trouble with production by sanding in the producing pole or casing, so that for the better would be that to North and West, as given, which comes nearer to the higher or the level land, on higher rolling toward the river by the shift of lands by the constant wearing away, and is in the overlap and being on the anticline, 29 to 3100 feet there. Production would be in paying quantity we see, while not as good in paying quantity South and East, though on the oil belt, but in the migratory strata as given.

3. (Q) What is the best and most expedient method of removing casing from the Burns' well at the present time? (A) Unseat, as we have given, by shock here you see, and then remove by the method as this kind of work is handled. See it is sandy from the outside we have given.

4. (Q) You will give the best location for drilling. (A) We have given the best for the location, for it is the best in this State or in the Continent.

Do that.
