Time of Reading San Saba County, 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Texas.
1. GC: You will have before you the well being drilled on the land known as Rocky Pasture, in San Saba County, Texas. You will answer the questions which I shall ask you regarding these operations.
2. EC: Yes, we have the well, the operations, and those conditions as surround same. These, as we find - the operations - moving along in a fairly satisfactory manner to all concerned. The physical conditions surrounding the operations are exceptional and hard to be understood by many, and it is considered that the experience of the operator justifies those confidences by those who may be interested in the development of this portion of the country, and these individuals are justified in having faith, confidence, in this body - for whether one is in the field of the theologian, shoemaker, or oil operator, would the intent, the purport in the heart of the individual, and the actions that radiate from such purport in keeping with that purposed in self, in line with those universal forces as the expression of the purpose, then the natural radiation of such an individual is to create confidence and faith in the individual; and woe be it to him who would belittle that faith; woe to him who would gain or use such action in a way as to make or cause others to lose faith in mankind or in individuals in particular.
3. As to the operations themselves, we find there will be - by the time the operator is ready for the placing of casing, and the work as goes with same - sufficient of monies and of means, in water, in fuel, in the operations and in the tools, that necessary to carry on the operation, will the operator keep that same faith, that same radiating force of self as to give confidence and hope to others. Ready for questions.
4. In considering the setting of casing to cut off the water that would prove too much for practical operations now, there will be found - a little below the present depth - a heavy lime. Drill to this. Near eighteen twenty-three

(1823), and there set the six and five-eights (6 5/8) casing. Then the lime stratas changing below this, the hole may be carried to near the twenty-six hundred (2600) foot level for the next casing through which production would be attained. The formations from the eighteen twenty-three (1823) to the rest of the production, or production strata, will be found to vary considerably in their formations, for here we find an overlap of that lime through which the drilling has gone, and a beginning - as it were - in the bend formations again. When the Pennsylvanian is again reached (true Pennsylvanian), we will find the beginning of more than an hundred (100) feet of oil producing sand, and in this greater production will be found as the tools enter the various strata, until the pool itself encountered - which will bring a very large and a long lasting production.
5. (Q) Should the boiler be moved back when they are ready to drill in? (A) Well that this be moved back and care taken, for the production being large the way of caring for the production will be by being ready to dam up those natural reservoirs as may be made below the present operations. The gas from this will increase as the tools enter the central or lower portion of this heavy oil sand. Hence well that care be taken as respecting fire, but this condition will be gradually on the increase as to the ways of caring for this. Well to be prepared and much care taken, for - as seen - production will begin with rather heavy gas. Not so much oil, but with the entering the sand farther, heavier and increasing flow of the production will be seen. Yes, move boiler back. We will find - without undue trouble arising - near the first of February will see completion of these operations. Coming near the time when there is an advance in the price of crude in the field. This will be a good paying proposition.
6. We are through for the present.
