1. EC: Yes, we have the body [5643]. Now, while we find the body physically very good in many respects, there are conditions as disturb the equilibrium of the body that may be corrected, and - being corrected - will prevent other conditions from arising; will also prevent and correct minor conditions as will be seen are arising in the physical functioning. The distresses, as we find, come from SPECIFIC conditions, as well as being reflex from distress in portions of the digestive system.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [5643], we are speaking of:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of the disturbances as is at times produced in the digestive and the assimilating system. This, however, is rather the reflex than the cause of the conditions as are disturbing in other portions.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here, again, we find rather a seat or the determinate conditions as have long brought the distresses in the system. In the lower portion of the cerebrospinal, or in the lower dorsal region and in the lumbar are the seat or the causes of distresses as related to the digestive system. This also, reflexly, causes disturbance, that produced from conditions as have been taken in from the outside - aggravating the condition, caused that disturbance as is seen in the throat and bronchia, by the filling up of the antrums at time, in face, and the mucus forces in the nasal cavities; the burning condition in the throat and through the epiglottis - these are reflexes from that disturbance in the lumbar and the lower dorsal region.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces are very good. The activities of the sympathetic system as related to the sensory organism and the disturbance from the bronchia and the throat, to the upper passages of the head at times cause distress. NOT an organic disturbance. The
5643-1 Page 2
lungs show the effect of the conditions in the blood supply, rather than of organic disturbance. This also causes that tendency at times towards the lack of sufficient blood supply, on account of conditions as exist through the lung, or through those of the cavities about the lung.
6. In the digestive system and the heart's action - these are not always normal; yet, considering the conditions, are good. The digestive system, from the distresses as caused in the lumbar and lower dorsal, finds that at times the hepatic circulation produces what is often termed as auto-intoxication, or toxemia, coming from the condition existent in the alimentary canal. This a result OF the pressures as are produced in the nerve system, that causes to that portion of the body the improper reflexes or reactions, and the condition becomes then more aggravated.
7. In meeting the needs, then, of the conditions as we find them with this body of [5643], we would take into consideration that there must be proper adjustments of the cerebrospinal nerve centers, that the pressure as created in the 12th dorsal and in the 4th lumbar may be removed, and the mesenteric system and all of the vegetative forces or nerve forces of the intestinal system will be relieved. With this, there will be less pressure - at TIMES there will be more inflow of blood to the upper portion, but with this overflow there must be used those of that antiseptic, or of AN antiseptic, that would be cleansing sufficient in its nature as to create better conditions for the nasal cavity, or the lymphatic circulation as comes through the upper portion of the face, bronchial and lungs. Using, then, those of the proper manipulations, osteopathically - which would require at least twenty-six to thirty-six to make the proper ADJUSTMENTS, carrying manipulations WITH same. Also using those of the inhalant that carries with same a small amount of Creosote in the Eucalyptol, the Benzosol, the activities of the Turp, as well as those of the solutions wherein Tolu in solution is carried in same; or the inhalant as has been given. Let this be breathed deep into the lungs at least twice each day. At least twice each day (not at the same period) the head should be cleared with same, breathed into the nostril, and we will find we will bring about the nearer normal condition for this body.
8. In the changes as are brought about, be mindful of the diet - that there are the proper eliminations through the alimentary canal. Well that the colon be cleansed - at first, at least once each week, until three have been taken - then once each month for four or five months, and we will find these drosses, these tendencies for prolapsus in the
5643-1 Page 3
colon, the fullness in the right side, the activities throughout - both the caecum and all of the transverse, ascending and descending colon, coming nearer to the normal activity. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) To the regular inhalant, now much Creosote? (A) Prepare, then, as this:
To 4 ounces of grain alcohol, add:
Eucalyptol, Oil of..............30 minims, Benzoin.........................10 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...........10 minims, Rectified Creosote...............5 minims, Tolu in solution...............1/4 ounce.
Put this in a glass container with glass stopper, at least twice the size of the quantity - or an 8 ounce container. Only shake solution just before it is to be inhaled. Then inhale direct into the mouth, or through the nostrils. We are through for the present.
