1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [5655]. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions with this body. These, as we find, in their incipiency, are from SPECIFIC conditions, while the effects as are being produced are both specific and reflex; these affecting the system in DIFFERENT ways and manners.

2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [5655], we are speaking of, present in this room:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very good save for the effects as are being produced in same by the impoverishing of the blood, in the attempt of the system to create that of the leucocyte sufficient to meet the necessity of coagulations in the system. This has reached the stage where even that in the area where the distresses are seen, that those of lesions - and even cartilaginous forces - are in a FORM or manner being created. This MUST make for more and more DETRIMENTAL condition, not only to the blood supply but to the body itself, for it HINDERS more and more the locomotions OF the body, impoverishing extremities and making for enlargements in portions of body, as will be seen.

4. IN THE NERVOUS FORCES OF BODY, these are very good save where impingements or disorders have produced such as to make accumulations in muscular ends, where the pressures are seen. In the specific conditions, as we find - there has been in times back, and again a more recent condition, where the muscular forces in the locomotary system, especially those that head to those of the lower portion of the dorsal and lumbar area and sacral, where these come to the locomotaries of the lower limb, those that are PULLING, and has ALSO ALREADY made those of an out-of-alignment in the lower dorsal, the lower lumbar, the coccyx, and MAKE for pressures in the lower portion of the nervous system.

5. IN THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, these, save as affected by

5655-1 Page 2

those pressures, are very good in their activity.

6. Then, in meeting the needs in the present, as we find, these conditions may be removed, may be relieved, and the body be near to a normal activity, WILL the proper precautions, the proper activities be taken - and do not OVERTAX, or do not UNDERDO that as may BRING the normalcy for the body. Would not be well, while corrections were being made, that the activities of the body be such as to undo that as will be accomplished in the correction of, and in the alleviating of, those conditions as are causing distress. These are conditions to be warned of! WITH the stress as is BEING created, with the excess of the blood attempting to create coagulating forces, these must either produce that which would either become tubercular in its activity, or that which would become in its activity about the soft tissue, UNDERMINE and produce erosion in the bone structure itself. These have NOT begun as yet, and are ONLY of the muscular and of the sinew centers in the sacral, lower lumbar, and lower dorsal area. Then, in meeting the needs:

7. We would have those of the osteopathic corrections made at least, in the beginning, twice each week - ONE such treatment not too MUCH correction, but as to RELIEVING the pressures in the body.

8. Three times each week (this may be taken at home) we would massage thoroughly into the spine that of this as the combination: To 1/2 gallon of plain gasoline, add: Oil of Cedar.................1 ounce, Oil of Mustard...............1 ounce, Oil of Sassafras...........1/2 ounce. When this is massaged into the spine and along the inside and back of the limbs to the knee, and AROUND the knee, take about two tablespoonsful in a saucer, dipping finger tips in same - ends of fingers - massage this in and along the spine, about THREE times each week, see; NOT on days when those of the corrections and manipulations are given.

9. Keep quiet. Do not overeat. Keep the eliminations properly in the system, and we will find that within two to five WEEKS we will have quite a different condition. Do not begin the activities too soon. Do not be over-anxious, but DO as has been given! Ready for questions.

10. (Q) How soon can the body resume work? (A) Should be able to resume work in five to six weeks - see?

5655-1 Page 3

11. (Q) Should not do any work at all during this period? (A) Very little, for where muscles and tissue are to be reduced, and where there is to be builded for the blood supply that which will create more of the red blood supply, if the energy is used up in activities, not only would it be INJURIOUS to those portions attempted to be corrected, but injurious to the system in its activity for replenishing or rebuilding proper. Better rest five weeks now then a hundred and four weeks later on!

12. (Q) Who would be suggested as to give the treatments properly - the osteopathic treatments? (A) Anyone who would act with those as given. McCrary, in this case, would be well - for it will require strength, and it will require persistence on the part of the body as well as the one giving the treatments. We would take the manipulations in the office. We would take the massage - that is, with those properties as given to give strength and stamen [stamina?] to the body - WITHOUT the physician - see? Beware of any stimulus that will burn up energy of the system. Let the diet be that of wholesome foods, as of plenty of greens, plenty of milk, plenty of eggs, and the like - not too much meat, but at least two or three times a week steak or chicken, or the like. Do that, and we will find the responses will be. DO NOT OVERTAX until the STRENGTH has been maintained and gained! We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " File " " Ass'n
