1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions for this body. These conditions have to do with specific results as have been brought about through disturbances in the functioning of organs and the general disturbed or non-coordination in elimination of the system. The application of those things for the correction should have more to do with the CAUSE of the disturbances, rather than the effects as are seen.
2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [5671], we are speaking of, present in this room:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in this body we find below normal in circulation, in pressure, but at times temperature. This condition produced by poisons as have accumulated in system, and by the pressure produced especially in the mesenteric system.
4. IN THE NERVE CENTERS, here we find one of the basic conditions of those things that have brought ABOUT these disturbing conditions. While the nerve system apparently very good in many respects, those of the vegetative system, or through the intestinal tract - those in the pelvis and the pelvic organs have been under stress and strain, as is also sympathetically, and at times directly, those as GOVERN the whole hepatic circulation. Hence the FIRST disturbances came in these portions of the system, and the kidneys and liver, as WELL as the organs OF pelvis, suffer under the strain. This produced, originally, by that depression caused in the 5th lumbar and coccyx.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, these, as we have given, show rather distress functionally than organically, though the functioning of an organ DISTURBS the ORGANIC reaction in system.
6. Brain forces are very good.
7. Throat and bronchials and larynx - in the circulation to the head, with depressions in lumbar and sacral and coccyx, the distresses as come are reflexed through the hypogastric
5671-1 Page 2
and pneumogastric plexus. Hence the strained, tired, heaviness as occurs to the body, the condition in head, fullness in throat, depressions in bronchia and lungs, are REFLEX, and from the poor circulation taken up by the sympathetics and the auditory or sensory system.
8. Heart's action, as given, BELOW normal, but with the pressures in system the result in the temperature at times is produced from condition in liver and hepatic circulation.
9. In the digestive system, this at times very good, considering the conditions of the body. At others scarcely ANY digestion takes place, for impoverishment of the blood and disturbance in liver and hepatic prevent the excretions into the lower portion, or duodenum, to the extent that digestion does not take place properly. Hence we have an engorgement, or enlargement of the spleen, the condition in liver being torpidity and that of little excretory functioning, as considered from a normal standpoint - though, to be sure, SOME excretions are thrown into the digestive channel.
10. In the right side and in the colon, again, we find distresses - from those conditions as produce the pressure there, as also inflammation that exists in system comes from engorgements there.
11. In the kidneys and the bladder, here again the pressures show the strain on system, and the prevention of normal coordination in the eliminating centers of the body. This a reflex, and - as seen - that as exists in limbs and feet the result of that CAUSING pressure in the lower extremities.
12. In meeting the needs of the conditions at the present time, these conditions taken properly - and proper drainage set up in system - these may be ELIMINATED. Allowed to run on, distresses of MANY characters MIGHT result - dependent upon where localization would confine or set up.
13. In beginning, then, we would change the VIBRATORY forces of the digestive and eliminating system, through properties taken INTO same to change these.
14. We would also add in this that as will aid the blood supply to be nearer normal in its activity, and also reducing the strain on the pelvic organs, as well as hepatic circulation.
15. We would begin, then, with this:
16. Take 1/2 gallon of distilled water. To this we would add: Wild Cherry Bark...................2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root..................1 ounce, Black Snake Root...................1 ounce, Wild Ginger......................1/2 ounce,
5671-1 Page 3
Ginseng..........................1/2 ounce, Elder Flower.......................2 ounces. Reduce this by simmering, or slow boiling, to 1/2 the quantity. Strain while warm, and while warm add 2 ounces of grain alcohol with 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in it. The dose would be, BEGINNING half a teaspoonful 4 times each day. After the first week, and the emptying of the colon has been begun through high enemas or irrigation, then INCREASE the dose to TEASPOONFUL 4 times each day.
17. After the first week, also, we would begin with the manipulations to relieve that pressure in the coccyx and lumbar, RELAXING all of the cerebrospinal system, especially in those centers from which radiation to the system in its functioning of the digestive system and blood supply are centered. These we would do osteopathically. BEST that a manipulation be taken each day. Every THIRD day the CORRECTIONS made. THESE are to produce proper coordination in system (that is, the treatments), and to assist the centers in the nerve system to relax to the extent that the drainage may take place nominally, that absorption from the system will ELIMINATE those disturbances in the whole of the torso. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) If treatments are followed as suggested, how long before the body will be cured? (A) Four to six weeks.
19. (Q) Would that be permanently, or temporarily? (A) Dependent upon the ACTIVITIES of the body. The body weakened to a condition by a disturbed functioning and where there has remained pressure so long, is easily susceptible to return, or of OTHER conditions as may arise - but with the proper precautions taken, it should be a permanent, as far as the PRESENT disturbances are concerned.
20. (Q) What caused these depressions in the lumbar and coccyx? (A) An injury to the coccyx and 5th lumbar.
21. (Q) What injury is referred to? (A) The depression as was caused to this.
22. (Q) What was this injury? (A) The depressions' the injury! Do this. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital " " Dr. Berger
