Time of Reading 12 Halcyon Arcade, 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Miami, Florida.
1. GC: You will give reading on following Section 19, Township 54, Range 35, Dade County, Florida. There is now a well on this territory located and drilling. You will give the exact location of this well, giving the Township located in, and how near it is to the Tamiami Trail. Also give us the log on this well down to the lower strata. Also the depth to the lower strata. You will answer questions which I will ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, this section, this district, we have had here before. This is the largest producing area in the United States. The location of present drilling well, as is seen, is North and East from this district, and near to the Tamiami trail. This will produce, in the lower strata, and in the second strata. The depth at present near that of six twenty-one (621).
3. The formation in which the drilling is at present is in that of lime shale. The strata in which the production will be encountered, the first area being in the six seventy-five (675), the greater quantity in the eighteen twenty-five to seventy-six (1825 to 76); this being the larger production, see?
4. (Q) What will be the production at the lower strata? (A) From three to five thousand barrels oil per day.
5. (Q) Are there any wells located by any other parties, or corporations, in Dade County? (A) Several, but we have nothing to do with those!
6. (Q) How deep is the well drilled at the present time? (A) Given. The larger producing area in Dade County lies in that district South and East from the Tamiami trail - that is, the section in which the present operations are is North and West, as given, see, of the larger producing area, see? for this, as we see, lies in the Township 54, 55, 56, one being on the ridge, one in the North, and one in the South, see? All would be in producing area, and, as has been given, while of a low grade, the largest producing area in single places in the United States, for the accumulations
