Time of Reading 11:40 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Florida.

1. GC: You will have before you the well being drilled on Section 19, Township 54, Range 35, Dade County, Florida, and the contractor Neil Scroggins. You will outline to us how this has been handled so far, in a financial and operative way, both from the company's standpoint and the contractor's standpoint, giving the status of the conditions at the present time. You will answer the questions which I will ask you regarding this.

2. EC: Yes, we have the operations and those conditions surrounding same, as respecting the contractor and those who are interested in same.

3. The well, and the conditions in part, we have had here before. As for the operation as concerning production, this has been handled, as given, very poorly - for there are many conditions that might be given have entered into the operations as regarding the contractor. As seen, there are statements regarding the expenditures that have been stretched considerably. While it is true much money has been spent in operations, yet not in the way and manner as conducive to giving the full amount of the hole made, nor of the correct manner of handling the hole for the production of the oil that might be obtained even in this location.

4. In conditions at present, we find that the contractor is indebted to individuals for tools, materials, and labor. Some of these are legitimate; others are stretched considerably and out of proportions - for we find the contractor in the pay of more than those to whom the contracted work is made - to those indirectly, and might not be classed by some as being an illegitimate condition; yet would such operator or operations be successful, these should be conducted along more legitimate lines. That is, for information that may enable others to know by the actual conditions encountered in operations, there have been promises made to Scroggins that would be more valuable than the money paid, even - and, as is seen with legitimate operations, at least half the money expended has been for

conditions that might be removed by Scroggins when operations are at an end. We would fasten these there! Ready for questions.

5. (Q) What promises have been made to Scroggins, and by whom? (A) By those who are interested in the production of oil in Florida - that is, those who are in the field for the future operations of this section. As is seen in Duval, who makes the actual promise for larger concerns that have drilled in Tampico and in the Texas coastal fields. These operators own vast territory higher up and to the west, in the state, see?

6. (Q) What is the full name of Duval, and with whom is he connected? (A) Connected with these larger operators. Full name, A. F.

7. (Q) D-u-v-a-l? (A) Duval.

8. (Q) What promises did he make Scroggins? (A) For interests, and for the prospect of more operations in the future developments, see?

9. (Q) Were any payments made Scroggins by Duval? (A) No payments, other than promises and keeping in touch with the individual, and handling much of the operations through suggestions - though keeping well in line, so that it would be hard to pin - by actual proof - the conditions, existent, see?

10. (Q) Is there any lien put on the present rig by Scroggins? (A) None other than that as is of the legal nature from the purchasers from whom Scroggins purchased much of the material. These are not in the shape of liens, as yet, see?

11. (Q) What are the amounts he owes on the rig? (A) Some eight to nine hundred dollars. Some fourteen hundred it has been. Part of this has been satisfied through others, see?

12. (Q) What is the name of the company he owes this to? (A) Supply companies. Wells Supply Companies.

13. (Q) Have any promises been made Scroggins by the officials of the Miami Oil & Gas Company? (A) None other than by verbal promise of the Scroggins' interests being taken care of with the general development, see?

14. (Q) Does the president of the Miami Oil & Gas Company know of Duval's promises to Scroggins? (A) No. No, these are of a different nature. See, Scroggins is playing both - one end against the other, and at the same time there has been, as given, an over expenditure of funds, see?

15. (Q) How much funds has Scroggins now, and in what bank?

5741-9 Page 3

(A) Very little of his own. All of those have been placed where these may not be reached, you see. Yarmer - Yarmer - has something to do with it.

16. (Q) Give full name of Yarmer, and where is he located? (A) We only get it Yarmer - Yarmer -

17. (Q) How is this spelled? (A) Y-a-r-m-e-r - we get it here. (Murmurings in undertone) We don't get that here.

18. (Q) With whom has Scroggins placed these funds temporarily? (A) Yarmers - we get A. C. - A. C. Yarmer.

19. (Q) A. C. Yarmer? (A) A. C. Yarmer - we get this here, yes.

20. We are through for the present.
