1. GC: You will have before you the well being drilled on Section 19, Township 54, Range 35, Dade County, Florida, and the contractor Neil Scroggins. You will tell us what has been done with the monies received by Scroggins under his drilling contract. You will answer any other questions I will ask you regarding this.

2. EC: Yes, we have the operation here, and Neil Scroggins contractor. These we have had before.

3. As has been given, monies as paid has been used in paying those whom the Scroggins indebted to for tools, and portions have been used in other channels, and a portion used in those of acreage in other portions of district; for it would be found that, with associates, the Scroggins owns other leases, see? living, operations, and other considerations. Detailed operations would give many various conditions. These as the general.

4. (Q) How much money has Neil Scroggins actually spent on drilling the well? (A) About twenty-eight thousand dollars ($28,000).

5. (Q) This includes monies spent in preparation in actual drilling and in hurricane repairs on the rig? (A) All on hurricane repairs has not been paid yet, and this includes monies as have been used in same, see?

6. (Q) We especially want to know what he spent in the way of repairs on his rig after the hurricane. (A) About twenty-one hundred dollars ($2,100).

7. (Q) Did he incur any indebtedness for such repairs which have not been paid? (A) As given, there will be found - These all need to be checked, see? and these MAY BE checked by the reports as have been given. Follow these closely. There will be many things that will be uncovered in these conditions.

8. (Q) Has he deposited any of the money received under his contract? (A) More has been spent outside, rather than being saved or contracted for, see? That is, he hasn't SAVED much money out of it, see?

9. (Q) Has he deposited any outside of the city of Miami? If so, in what city and in what bank? (A) In Del Soto (?) as we get here. Now this is Neil Scroggins' business. These are open to be found. Find these from here, see? He isn't straight - we have given that much. Those dealing with same should find it.

10. (Q) Who is A. C. Yarmer, and what is his business? (A) Business - A. C. Yarmer - as scout for the companies that are operating in the western coast here and further up the coast.

11. (Q) What is the name of the company he is employed by? (A) Indian.

12. (Q) What is the full name of this company? (A) Indian, or Independent Oil Company.

13. (Q) Has he had any conversation with Neil Scroggins regarding oil production in this well? (A) There has been much conversation with associates, and with the individual, as regarding production in this well and the findings in the various formations; for THIS is, as has been give, that of which Scroggins is the more guilty, in not keeping faith with those for whom the contract is made, see?

14. (Q) Has he had anything to do with any of the funds that are supposed to have been used in drilling this well? (A) Only that as is to be given and divided by these individuals for information, and for that that may be acquired later in operations in this and other fields, see?

15. (Q) Has Scroggins received any monies for any information regarding the well from any source? (A) Not monies. Rather promises, and monies indirectly, to be used for other things, see?

16. (Q) Give Yarmer's present Post Office address. (A) Tampa, Florida - hotel -

17. (Q) What hotel is Yarmer stopping at in Tampa? (A) Tampa Hotel - Tampa -

18. (Q) Give present address of A. F. Duval, and with whom is he connected? (A) Gherrett [Jerrett?] - The present address - Duval - the springs - springs - White Sulphur - White Springs -

19. (Q) What state? (A) White Springs in Florida!

20. (Q) What is the full name of the company he is connected with? (A) Don't get that here. We get this here - There's a combination here with these - Gherett is as the scout, too, which is with Potter - Potter - Potter - Gherett - Smith - Smith - Duval - Don't get those straight there!

21. (Q) What steps should the directors take to set these aright? (A) The check and re-checking of the affairs of the company, and by the accounting from Scroggins of money spent, with the items showing to whom, and where. Then re-check from their source, as seen, see? for, as we find, where there are favors granted through various ones - that bills as are seen by repairs, and also by materials in the first operations - these are exorbitant! and when gone to the sources, some will show a great deal of difference in the real, and that as will be placed first in hand. Then follow these rather close. Not with clanking of cymbals when it's being done! but rather as using good judgement. Knowing you are dealing with one of this nature - being forewarned - be forearmed. And as soon as possible get rid of this operator! if we would get oil in this hole - for it may be produced there, see?

22. (Q) Should this matter be taken up at the meeting this afternoon? of the directors? (A) Ordering that such check be made, be taken up - but don't move too fast, see? Can easily stumble over conditions that, if followed out easily, would prove more effectual - in saving monies, and in making the monies for stockholders.

23. (Q) Should this check be made by expert accountant? (A) By expert accountant.

24. (Q) Has Neil Scroggins made an agreement with anybody to keep it a secret if he discovers oil in this hole? (A) Has made agreement with several, as is seen, that when the conditions show oil will be found, that it would be reported to others before it would to Miami Oil & Gas.

25. (Q) Has he made such a report to others? (A) To those as given he has given a more detailed report of the findings, than to those the contract is made to.

26. (Q) How may this report be obtained? (A) This was verbal. Just try and obtain it!

27. (Q) Has he made a report that he found indications of oil? (A) The operations of how there are those in the other fields that are seeking acreage - OBTAINING acreage - should be sufficient evidence that such has been reported - for we do not find that - with the adverse conditions as stand apparent from the operations - this has decreased any the enthusiasm of those who are, little by little, obtaining more and more acreage for the prospective operations. See?

28. (Q) Who are the ones obtaining these leases? (A) They grade all along from the various larger oil concerns, and it would be hard to ferret out as to just which one. Find as to how the leases have been recorded, or

the landowners have promised, and this may be found by a good scout, see?

29. We are through for the present.
