1. GC: You will have before you Lee County, Florida, and you will tell us if there are any prospects for production of oil in this County. If so, you will give us Section, Township, and Range, of the best location for drilling for oil, giving the log of the well, and the depth at which production may be found, and the quantity of oil produced. You will answer any questions I might ask you regarding this.

2. EC: Yes, we have the county. This we see we have had portions of before [[5741] series?].

3. As to those specific locations, these may be only given in the general manner as relating to the County. In this district that is underlaid with oil and minerals in Lee County, we find the district begins at a point near half way between the central eastern line - see, the center of the eastern line, and the lower line, half way between this, almost exact, begins the stratum and the fold under which the deposits of oil may be found. These extend for nearly thirty miles in a westerly by south directions, see? west by south direction from this eastern line to that point where the shed begins, as for the water shed, that divides this portion of the country, extending then in a south westerly direction - more direct, see? south westerly direction to the edge of that portion where the inlets and the waters from the Gulf intercept the course. In this district, in most ANY of this, would there be oil found in some greater or in some lesser quantities, ranging from three to fifteen hundred (300 to 1500) barrels of production, dependent upon the location and the manner in which such operations would be handled. This, as is seen, is of the more shallow depth than that in the eastern and southeastern direction from this County. This lying near the one twenty-five to twelve fifty (125 to 1250) feet, see? This, then, would be a very good field for production, for the grade also some better, yet the quantities in the field would not be near the amounts as that as will be located in

the bend, or in the Dade County fields, see? The formation here encountered would be muck, shale, and then the heavy lime, at the ninety to a hundred and twenty-five (90 to 125) feet be producing oil in small quantities, ranging in this stratum from three to fifty, to a hundred (3 to 50, to a 100) barrels, in that from the nine sixty to twelve hundred (960 to 1200), being in the greater quantity from the three hundred to five hundred, to fifteen hundred (300 to 500, to 1500) in the various formations and parts of the field, see? In the greater depths we will find heavy lime overlying the oil, see? with not much difference in the formations, other than heavier quantities of each, for this portion of the field, this shed, as is seen, under which this stratum would be found, is as an escarpment of the reef through which the oil has seeped or migrated to this upper strata, produced by the falling away and sinking of those stratas that lie to the east and north of this County, see?

4. (Q) What will be the depth of the greater production? (A) As given. See, this covers an area of nearly fifty square miles, see? and the variations in the depth, being that as of the specific location, varying, as has been given, from the ninety to a hundred and twenty-five (90 to 125) feet, or for the first production of the smaller quantities, see? To the next being in the six twenty - six thirty-six to nine hundred (620 - 636 to 900). The next twelve to twelve fifty (1200 to 1250), see? These not in the same location, though in some locations oil in all three stratas may be located. We are through with this.
